The game is slowing down more and more
Since last week, the game on my laptop (M1 MacBook Pro from 2021) has been slowing down incredibly. It is even hard to play: I play a spell and before the game processes the action I did the hourglass starts clocking. I do not know what happened with the client, but it is so much worse than ever at least on my device (I played with my cousin earlier today and on his laptop everything worked fine). I even tried with deleting and re-downloading the game, but nothing changed. I am afraid if the issue persists I will need to…

Horrible sets
What the **** were you thinking by creating sets like Avatar or TMNT?! This has nothing to do with MTG, only stupid degenerated TikTok kids play those sets, because you don’t need any brain cells to win with cards like Badgermole Cub. Every person playing those braindead cards: go **** yourself and play Pokémon or Yu Gi Oh. MTG is not for you!!! And to the creators: go **** yourselves too, you greedy stupid **! You * on every player who supported you from the beginning, just to get more money from stupid kids, who think avatar or TMNT…

Cards with "Destroy" not working.
Played two games with a green/black deck where I tried to use Bitter Triumph the first time and Foolish Fate the second time. Both times the card was played it would pause to allow for the opponent to respond, then it would put the card I played in my graveyard, acting as if the action had been done. Both times the opponent's creature or permanent was not removed, but the negative effects would happen (I would lose health from Bitter Triumph for instance). When using Bitter Triumph the counters were removed from one of the creatures, but their strength/toughness didn't…

Daily quests
It is genuinely more enjoyable to do sounding with barbed wire than to try and complete daily quests and wins. Matchmaking algo is a joke, opening hand algo is a mess, shuffler is hot garbage. Shouldn't take a T0 deck 30-40 games just to win 10 because opponents always seem to be the hard-counter to whatever deck you choose that game and have nut openers. Tempted to see if Blizzard should check for patent infringement for Money Spent Matchmaking, where it'll pit those that spend little against those that spend a lot to entice spending.

Secrets of Strixhaven review
“After playing MtG for nearly 30 years, my all-time favorite set was Ravnica. Its 2-color guilds, hybrid mana, unique worldbuilding and unprecedented synergy made it the most fun to play in both sealed and constructed formats. Secrets of Strixhaven brings back that level of joy and excitement to the game. It is well designed from the top down, and it features a cast of new and familiar characters with functional, flavorful mechanics to tell a story with every match. Please make more sets like this.”

High Noon does not allow to cast on opponents turn.
Opponent plays High Noon and already twice I have not been able to play Requiring Hex on opponents turn if I have played spell on my own turn. Opponent seemed to be able to play spell both own and on mine turn.
And yes, there has been a creature to target the Hex and both times I have double checked there should be no other card in play restricting me playing spells on opponents turn.

shut the trash head down
Time to shut the servers down permanently. They constantly drop connection. WotC reps seem to think blaming the customer's equipment is the way to go to solve the problem. I assure you WotC, it's not my equipment. Other, much better built games with stable servers maintain connection with my PC with absolutely no problems. It's your pile of trash servers running your pile of trash game. None of the algorithms work correctly. 25 land in a deck and consistent 2 land draws over, let me check my total games played, uh, 3,954 games. Unless the algorithm is designed to cheat,…

Optional Anime-Style Story Recaps for Sets
Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking about ways to make the story and lore in MTG Arena more engaging, especially for newer players who might not follow the storyline outside the game.
One idea could be short anime-style recap videos for each set or major event. These could be 2–3 minute animated summaries explaining the key characters, planes, and conflicts of the current expansion. Many players (especially younger audiences) already enjoy anime-style storytelling through streaming app, so using a similar format could make the lore easier to follow. https://nekopoidl.app
For example, when a new set launches, the client could show an…

MTGA MacOS App Draining Battery Quickly Recently
For the last week or so the MTGA Mac app has been draining my battery much faster than ever before. It is now reaching an energy impact of +/- 2000 in Activity Monitor while the game is actively being played which equates to draining a MacBook Pro battery in about an hour. Prior to this the max I would was around 100 and I could play for multiple hours without any battery problems.
I'm using MacOs 14.1 Sonoma if that helps.

Blue deck plague
This game with blue countering everything is dogshit. I have quit because a game takes 30+ minutes to run through.

union
Recognize the Union forthwith. I've already uninstalled and will not play again until the Union is recognized. The exploitation of labor is unacceptable.
