Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Choose the Category that describes your problem.
Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.
- Summarize the problem
- List the steps you took that led to the problem
- What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
- What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps
Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.
- Open the life tracker and start a game
- Try to remove or add life to my life total
- Actual: my life total didn’t change
- Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

Commander tournaments
There is already the option to track life for commander games in the app.
Seeing that single elimination is an option already as well, simply applying the option to pair multiple players into the matches (pods), would allow stores, events like conventions, and even at home to host commander tournaments easily.
As a heavy commander player who has to usually govern such in store events manually, this would be a massive help. Also, it would be huge to have such a thing functioning for command zones at conventions like the upcoming pax unplugged.10 votes“Commander Events” are definitely on our backlog! The trickiest part of implementation has been that each Commander community defines a “Commander Event” differently, making pairing difficult.

Companion app Android says no internet connection when I click on the event in my events that I'm hosting
I set up an event on event link for an Arena event. When I log into my Companion App on Android I can see the event I created on event link under my events. When I click on the event in the app I get an error that says I have no internet connection. However, I definitely have internet. When I click retry on the app, it gives me the same error almost immediately. Please advise. I'm using android on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra on my wifi.

New history
I think it would be a good idea to add an extra feature on tournament history, with the results and perhaps some extra data such as the users you have faced and perhaps also a section where you can name the deck you are playing with, even a deck list if the user would like to add it for other players to see.

App frequently logging out
Hey. I'm writing because the Companion app keeps logging me out. Usually once per round which is really annoying.
I am using a Google Pixel 6a running Android 13. This did not happen on my previous phone, a Pixel 3a.
Please fix this or provide instructions on how I can mitigate it.

Suboptimal pairings in Magic Companion for hosted event
I hosted an 8-player draft event last week, and the round 3 pairings did not match up the two players with 0-2 records, instead pairing them each against a player with a 1-1 record.
In the attached images below, Jeff and Gage already played against each other, so they could not be paired up in round 3; however, it would have been valid for Jeff and Cheryl to play each other, as well as Katie and Gage. This would have allowed Matt and Julia (both with 0 wins) to play each other, for a balanced final round. However, the app…

Double sided cards with alternate art
Looking through the card database it seems to be impossible to see the backside of double sides cards that have alternate art. Instead of showing the back, the button that would normally flip the card image instead just cycles to art for the front side.
The card text also does not display correctly for the front/back side, making double sided cards generally a pain ********** to look up in the card database.

As a tournament viewer...
Once the tournament starts, it would be nice if entering the code anyone could consult all previous turns' results and the current standings, even if you're not a tournament player, so that anyone could be up-to-date during the tournament (maybe a friend is taking part and you wanto to see how he's going)

There needs to be a way to set the number of rounds for an event.

Advanced card search still not working
Advanced card seqrching still not working. Type card, subrtyoe card is ignored. Example. I put type card artifact and it shows enchantments, creatures, etc.

Companion Locator not displaying dates or times, only displaying "Label 03 Label". Seems to not even be sorted by date and time

Bloomburrow cards not searchable by set name
Bloomburrow (BLB or BLC) is not included in the card database filter for "set". While some Bloomburrow cards are available to search by name, and the filter for this set is available on the web based companion, the app still does not have this filter.
Please add these filters to the app The website isn't a great mobile device experience.

Survey feedback
Just finished the survey - which was too short to give any relevant feedback and missed the most important part: a field to write actual feedback, putting the given data in context...
What i wanted to say there:
I can't either correct mistyped results nor drop players and do repairings if needed because of either of those cases.
The final standings should stay available for at least a day after the event finishes - if the host clicks one too many buttons they are gone. It happened more than once.
Doing seatings manually would be a welcome additional option. Several…8 votes -
Oracle text mistake
I’ve seen cards where the Oracle text in the app is different from the Oracle in Gatherer. Most recently Tsabo Tovac.
In the app, it’s only a horror for the sub-type. In Gatherer, it’s a Phyrexian Horror.8 votes -
Seat number in push notification
Instead of trying to load into the companion app to see the seat number in a new round, include it in the push notification when the round starts.

Add Card Collections
To better facilitate deck building, and make the card function better, I reccomentd adding the ability to create a card collection. There should be the ability to create and manage multiple lists so you can add things to them and compare or even pull out your phone to show someone the cards you are looking for.

Play each against every other player
Hi there,
sometimes we play i small group (like draft in 4 players at home)
I would like to ask for option to add to Swiss and elimination something like "free for all" where each player plays against every other player (in 4 people, everyone play 3x, etc.) Now in 4 players, there are just two rounds and finito.Thank you
