To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback

Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.




Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Example: Shivan Dragon doesn’t work

Choose the Category that describes your problem.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down

You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  1. Using Promo Code Cards In App.

    My LGS requires us to use the Companion app to register for events such as prereleases and FNMs. In prerelease kits and promo prize packs at FNM are promo code cards. It would be extremely convenient if I could use these codes on the app since it already uses my same login as Arena. It would save me the trouble of trying to keep track of those code cards and would be a nice upside to being forced to use this app entirely against my will.

  3. Mobile issue with account not logging in

    Full internet access, cannot join event because app says there's a network issue. Rebooted app, rebooted phone, no issue. App constantly asks me to re enter my login info as well.

  5. Advanced Search -> Set selection: The set dropdown does not include new sets

    The set selection dropdown in the advanced search does not include new sets, such as March of the Machines or Lord of the Rings.

  6. Companion App locked to wrong region

    I currently live in the Netherlands. I downloaded the Companion app for participating in an event here, but the app will only show locations in the USA. I tried turning my location on and searching any possible Dutch location to no avail. There is no clear region setting in the app or for my Wizards account. The only thing I could think to do was change the location of my Epic Games account since I have Arena through that, but it did not help. The event is tomorrow night, please help.

  7. Partial Search

    Would love to search card database by partial name or “starts with”, like if trying to search all cards whose name starts with a particular letter.

  8. Sideboard Bug - iOS

    On the weekend i am only able to play on my phone. While doing traditional, the graveyard is never responsive to touch during sideboarding due to a transparent black bar at the top of the screen, so i can not look at my opponents deck and make decisions accordingly. This is very frustrating because sideboarding is a huge part of traditional. This is always the case when playing on my iphone 12 mini. Please fix the overlay so this is no longer a problem. Thank you.

  9. Previous events

    We get to look at standing and matches all during the event but loss the ability to look at it after. MTGMelee gives to option to look at who played who and overall records well after an event has ended

  10. Unable to Join Event

    When i enter in the app companion a message appear(portuguese):"Desculpe-nos! Estamos com problemas. Tente novamente mais tarde" and when i try to enter the code to an event the same message pops up.
    Obs. I just installed the app for the first time and log in with my account. I also tryed to reinstall the all

  12. Some or all rulings appearing multiple times.

    For some cards, the rulings will appear multiple times on many cards, sometimes all of them.

  13. Card images since MID are lower quality and the file sizes are much larger

    Ever since the release of Midnight Hunt, the images that appear in Companion are considerably more pixelated than from Ixalan foward, and they load a -lot- slower over cellular.

    It took me a while to figure it out, but I think it's because instead of being JPGs (with white corners), they are now much larger PNG files (with rounded corners). Digging around on my phone seems to show that each image has gone from being crystal clear at ~200KB to being pixelated and harder to read at ~800KB.

    Consider going back to JPEG and rounding in Companion or switching to…

  14. Leaving tournaments

    I recently played in event at my LGS and they couldn’t add someone after the tournament had started so they created a new one. I was unable to leave the event I was already in to join the new event.
    So so I think there needs to be a leave tournament option on the app.

  15. Incorrect oracle text on companion for tarfire

    Tarfire oracle text should say any target rather than target creature or player. I confirmed this on gatherer.

  16. Add Day/Night Tracker to Life Total Tracking Screen

    With the release of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, and the prevalence of the Daybound/Nightbound mechanic, it would be nice if the Life Tracker in Companion had an option to enable a Day/Night Tracker that shows up near the middle, allowing players around the table to easily see if it's day or night.

  17. Card database

    The card database on the app I downloaded will not give any results when searching for a specific sub type (ie Dragon) even when using the advanced search

  18. Color Identity vs color

    Enable us, both on Companion and in Gatherer, to search using Color Identity, not just a card’s color.
    It would be very useful to get rid of cards that wouldn’t be effective in decks we’re searching for. Especially, but not exclusively, commanders.

  19. Creature Types are not updated

    When searching for a creature by creature type, the results are incomplete. This occurs because creature types that have been updated on older cards are not appearing.

    For example, Rootwater Alligator is still displayed in Oracle on the app to have the Alligator creature type. On desktop, Gatherer correctly shows it as a Crocodile creature type.

    This current feature is annoying, as accessing Gatherer on mobile asks me to use Companion, but I can't rely on the data on Companion until this is fixed.

  20. Let TO have history of players emails for the store

    Let a store owner or TO be able to save a history of players from previous events emails. It's suck to keep having to give them my email address every FNM. It wastes a lot time
