1. APP LOCKING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF RANKED PLAY

   Tired of app locking up in the middle of a ranked match... causing me to lose the game. I try to close app and reopen but app hangs up unless I try again and then TURNS have gone by wothout my play. Then I lose. Sick of this!

   Despite claiming feedback is important, all of my "frowny face" feedback has been unquestioned.

2. MTG Arena plays two different background musics at the same time after a draw game after a long waiting for matching

   When a player attempts to play a game, they may experience some long waiting for a match (perhaps 60 seconds) and then entering a game that suddenly ends in a draw. (This behavior is not what I'm reporting as a bug.)

   If it happened, the background music played during the suddenly-ended draw game keeps playing after leaving the battlefield. Then, if they play another game immediately, MTG Arena plays two different background musics, apparently one from the draw game and another from the new game.

   Steps to reproduce the bug

   1. From the home screen, Play > Find Match > Ranked, and choose any ranked match, then click Play.
   2. Wait for a while for matching. If successfully matched, finish the game, and repeat from the step 1 again.
   3. If the matching was unsuccessful and the game suddenly ends in a draw, leave the battlefield, and immediately play the same format again.

   Platform

   PC (Windows 11 Pro 23H2 build 22631.4602)

   Actual results

   When the second matching is successful and the second game starts, MTG Arena plays two different background music duing the second game.

   Note that the two background musics stop when the second game ends and the player leaves the battlefield. If they immediately play their third game, the music is just normal.

   Expected results

   MTG Arena plays just one background music.

   Workaround

   Avoid playing the second game immediately after the draw. That is, always terminate MTG Arena and restart after a draw game.

3. got game loss from "Cancel buttom"

   clicked the cancel botton in my draft game search, and ended up with a loss. I'm very close to mythic and this kind of thing happening is very frustrating, although I respect why they don't edit peoples ranks.

   Also ****** to get a loss and potentially not the get the gem rewards that I might have otherwise gotten.

4. cant cast instants

   i lost several standard ranked games because i cant cast any instant spells during enemy turns. pls fix this bug

5. Daily Wins are breaking the health of your play queue and driving people away

   The behavior of players around the 15 daily wins is turning the Standard Play queues into one of the most toxic queues in the game. You know there is a problem when the common wisdom of the game is "just play Ranked, you'll have an easier time." This stems Directly from the 15 Daily Wins quest. People seeking fast wins pile into Standard queue and grab fast aggro decks that win in 3-5 turns. However, that isn't all. Because the nature of the queue is fast games there are many players that opt for forcing a fast surrender. Roping every turn to make the game take longer is incentivized as well. If you can convince the other player to surrender and move on in a few turns then you have succeeded. It creates a zero sum situation, where the only way to play the queue is for everyone to be a troll. This includes having a deck Entirely made of removal so that neither player plays a single card and the field remains completely empty for 40 minutes as you slowly draw out your decks. Even trick decks like Tibalt's with low win rates, the point is to force a surrender early, by having a toxic deck that people recognize and immediately surrender in order to move on. It means there is no queue to test a new deck on. At least no queue to test decks on that isn't Aggro or Surrender decks.

   15 wins also breaks one of the cool things about MTG. Long games. Some of the best games are the ones that can go over an hour, but with 15 wins as the goal, why would anyone spend that long? Better to surrender and keep grinding.

   Then it also makes the game very anti-social. Which is to the Serious detriment of the game. You don’t have friends on MTGA, you don’t need them. You won’t play with them. You can’t get daily wins from playing with them, and you need those wins to get the coins to get the cards to build more decks. It literally disincentivizes even playing with friends at all.

   This is creating a really toxic environment throughout the game that is steadily driving away both free-to-play and paying players. I've personally spent quite a bit on this game already, and this may be my last "season" as over the 4 months of playing, nearly every night I have finished my session frustrated and angry. And not because I feel like I'm "bad" at the game, but because I've had to spend a Lot of time grinding out a final few wins. I have spent Hours getting two wins, and it's simply because the draw didn't favor me. My aggro deck didn't get off the ground fast enough, or the other person drew a lucky card and was able to turn the tables once I was out of gas. For Play queue, there really isn't another answer other than queue back up and hope you have a better hand. I started out four months ago, and at the time I talked to a few friends to play this with them. Most of them dropped it within a week, citing the 15 daily wins as too much of a problem. I'm a stubborn person, so I wanted to keep pushing, I had also spent money and wanted to see some return on my investment. However I am also reaching the end of my rope with this game. 15 wins is just too much, it drives new players away from the game.

   Now, there is a Very simple solution here. 5 Daily wins, then take the rewards from the other 10 and spread them out into a 35 Weekly wins setup. 5 wins will average around an hour a day, which is reasonable for “warming up” and allows for space to do other things, like play with friends or toy with the other queues for a bit. With 35 weekly then, you can be pretty sure you will clear that each week without too much trouble (5 times 7 is 35, so clearing the daily wins will net the weekly rewards by the end of the week.) It’s a very simple change, could be even better if wins against friends counted. Sure some will just trade wins quickly to get the wins out of the way, but most will just take the opportunity to play each other and have fun doing so.

   If you really want to solve this though, I think you could remove the daily wins entirely and do more of a quest board. Every three months you release a new set. Have each of these sets release with a quest board that gives you rewards for playing (and/or) winning with different cards or combinations. Make players explore and truly "master" the sets as they are released. Players have three months to complete as much of the board as they can. This can be as broad as picking certain color themes or specific core cards, and having players win x number of games with them (over three months, so much less pressure) or as specific as having each card in the set have its own quest for winning a handful of games using that card.

   The second option there would be a double hitter, incentivizing creative deck building, diversifying decks being played and removing the incentives for trolling. This game is so close to being a good introduction, its just falling at the finish line.

   The other Big problem is the Wildcard system. What ends up happening is that players build up hundreds of Common, Uncommon and Mythic Rare Wildcards, while having 0 Rare Wildcards. Largely because decks rely Heavily on Rare cards. And what ends up happening is those Mythic Rare drops that are handed to you feel more like a punishment than a reward. What the **** am I going to do with my 30th Mythic Rare Wildcard while I’m still at 5 Rares and need 40 of them for this deck I want?

   Again, simple solutions are present. The simplest would be to remove the current Wildcard system and turn Wildcards into a number value. Common become worth 2, Uncommon 4, Rare 8, and Mythic Rare 16. That number value then can be spent to purchase any card. You can even play with the purchase value, being kinder with buying a Common needing only 1 point, and a Mythic only 8, or meaner with buying a common set to 4 points, and Mythic 32. Or anywhere in between. But with a number value, now every Wildcard is valuable, and those Mythic Drops feel good, because that could be enough to put you over the value of the deck you want to build.

   Further on this note, Why The **** do you not get a Rare or Mythic Rare Wildcard for drafting a 5th copy of a rare card in Limited? That is an absolutely Disgusting practice. When I found out that I wasn't getting Rare and Mythic rare wild cards from rare drafting I nearly quit right on that one. I understand turning Common and Uncommon into "Vault Progress" you get so many of them in draft. But if a player wants to Weaken their chances of winning the draft by Rare drafting, the least you can do is give them an extra wildcard for their efforts. What the **** is wrong with you guys? Do you want a sustainable player base to milk whales or not?

6. cheating in brawl

   Congrats on cheating in brawl. You deserve to get cancer. It'll match your disgusting deck that you had to cheat with by top decking every single card needed with your huatli. 7. Make conceding in ranked at sorcery speed* only on your turn*

   Please make it to where on ranked matches you can ONLY concede on your turn, and have less time to be away from your screen. Im trying to get achievements and its impossible bc everone just quits before my damage can go through and it's extremely funny yet irritating

9. Mastery Pass Reward Bug (Not receiving notifications of items received after Level 60).

   I couldn't confirm until just now when I ranked up, but it seems for the past two mastery pass seasons I have NOT been receiving my uncommon card rewards past rank 60. I suspected it first during the Edge of Eternities set but wasn't actively paying enough attention. Just NOW I ranked up from 61 to 62 and did NOT receive a card reward. Given the consistency of this bug, I believe I should have been awarded a good 10-12 cards from the Edge of Eternities pass that I just never received.

   I do know that I haven't been notified though, otherwise I wouldn't have been confused in the first place and wrote you to ask. Do you know why it doesn't directly tell me when I rank up what the card reward is? Is this a bug, or else is it something about the mastery pass on the back end that I've just been ignorant about?

10. Suggestion: Ranking System and/or Indication for Different Skill Levels

    This is coming from a completely new mtg player (started last week of May 2025), and I would like suggestion some way to match players based on skill/comfort level. I understand Starter Deck and Jump In is meant to even the playing field between new players and veterans, but it's still very obvious that it doesn't help. The Suggestion is this: players on Arena choose a level, for example Novice/Beginner, Intermediate, or Veteran, then create a settings for matches that you can choose to play with others of the same skill or all skill levels or two of them etc. There are obviously veteran players tacking advantage of Jump In/Starter Decks to grind or other reason, and being matched with them makes MTG Arena a miserable experience that it becomes a hostile and unfriendly experience with taunting through the emotes or "roping" or destroy every card while building an unnecessary wall of combos that is so large that it causes severe lagging. The skill level choices will allow players who are into a casual game or entirely f2p or brand new enjoy themselves without being hounded by aggro players. Please consider setting up some kind of system to make MTG Arena more enjoyable.

11. Please fix the algorithm it makes the game unplayable

    Please replace the algorithm for a better deck shuffle system; the algorithm makes the game unbearable in the higher ranked categories. I’m at the point where I don’t even want to play it anymore.

12. Infinite loops, card stacks

    So magic wtf did y'all do to this game. I'll tell you, you overly complicated it to the point cards can infinity loop with 2 cards. Historic is the only thing I play and I'm stuck playing black decks that can instantly kill me by gaining 1 life. Green decks that make 4/4 with Rosie and infinite combo.
    You have sooo many cards that allow over 4 cards in the deck and stack with each copy. This is pathetic, ban the cards that infinite loop; get rid of "any number of xxxxxx card is allowed". Bring the game back to where it was pre shards of alara when you broke the game and continue to scramble to make it playable. Simple but complicated not whatever you are calling this now. No wonder pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh are making a comeback.
    Yeah, this is meant to sound heated cause I'm annoyed one of my favorite games is so far from playable it's a joke. Might as well be the last boss of battle toads...ffs

13. start your engines

    Either player putting a spell with the Start Your Engines mechanic on the stack has regularly caused my game to crash, causing me to lose ranked matches in Standard as well as Premier Draft games

14. Inaccurate Rankings MidWeek Magic

    In MidWeek magic this week, I had a diamond icon next to my name, as did my opponents. My opponents definitely played diamond-level, but I am bronze in limited and platinum in constructed - I have never been diamond. Please fix this in future events.

15. September ranked rewards incorrect

    September rewards according to the weekly newsletter were supposed to be Honor and Consult The Star Charts card style. When rewards were distributed I received Vote Out and Lightstall Inquisitor instead.

    Will the posted rewards be sent out at some point?

16. Wrongly processed time-outs

    I just experienced a bug, where my opponent - on their turn - triggered an enormous amount of abilities (white rabbit deck, life gain + hare) through reanimation, while their library was out of cards (I would've won on their next turn).
    I was completely tapped out, so i could not interact while all effects were being processed, but at some point the game decided to count down my time-outs instead of my opponents. When it was finally my turn again I just got a defeat screen and it was over for me despite it not being my fault at all that the game was on standstill for so long. This really sucks!!

17. Too many hackers/cheaters and no way to report or ban them

    MTGA has always been a cheaters paradise but now every mode is close to unplayable.
    There is not a single mode where you can use standard decks without being matched against a hacker who just rigs the match.
    For the record I like the concept of deck building. But it should be reserved for ranked and super competitive play, where it belongs, with all the butthurts who can't handle losing.
    A "casual mode" would be handy where both players are limited to standard decks.

    1. This is a card game - you never get beaten on skill, you get beaten by better cards.
    2. Some of us enjoy Color Challenge. This is for smart people who actually want to use skill with some of the more basic cards. Logically, if I am playing color challenge the opponent should be playing color challenge also - and bound by the same deck rules. Single color, 60 card STANDARD deck vs single color, 60 card STANDARD deck. That's called a level playing field, try it.
    3. There should not be cheese cards. They only exist for the people who are too stupid to learn actual strategies. Wizards of the Coast are under the delusion that "Magic is for everyone". It is NOT for everyone. It's for butthurt hacker cheats and noobs who can't play unless they have cheese cards. Those people account for 99% of the player base.
    4. Decks for Starter deck duels simply don't work. These are supposed to be random cards but players are still clearly hacking the game. Not once but literally thousands of times I've seen this, in all modes. As soon as you get the upper hand or play a card that is even slightly advantageous, opponents will mysteriously draw the EXACT cards needed to combat whatever you do. It is painfully obvious they are using an open deck stacked full of cheese and can just play any card in their library.
    5. Mana $crew. The game is programmed to prevent you playing certain cards. Example: if a card costs 5+ mana, the deck will find a way to never give you more than 4 mana. In other cases, you either get a hand full of lands and no creatures or creatures with no land to play them. Rigged.
    6. Timewasters. The bane of existence. Play a land, then play a creature or spell - it's not hard. I have seen multiple players just sit there for 10 minutes without the timeout fuse appearing. There needs to be an INSTANT penalty for this. All turns should have a maximum 30 second timer no matter what. If you can't do what needs to be done in that time, you forfeit the turn.

    The system needs a complete overhaul. Due to these issues the game is actually not fun anymore.

18. Why do I get a losing streak whenever I get to Platinum 3 when playing ranked, it has happened 10 times in a row?

    Is anyone else having a problem playing ranked going from Platinum 4 to Platinum 3? I marched right thru everything including Platinum 4. When I hit Platinum 3 a losing streak started that eventually took me back to Platinum 4 with 0 wins. I have had losing streaks in this manner that were as much as 9 straight games. This has happened around 10 times. I am using a deck I used to get to Diamond 1 and trying to figure out how to get past this. After my latest adventure back to Platinum 4 I decided to use a Tibalt's Trickery deck. I got 2 wins into Platinum 3 and had a 4 game losing streak before I quit.

19. Decks not being valid on multiple formats

    My decks from pioneer and standard are not valid on their formats, despite not having any invalid cards, I've been unable to play ranked for days!! I have tried making a new deck from scratch, exporting and importing again and deleting the old one and nothing works!!

20. Quick draft challenge reward not working

    1. How to reproduce (most likely this is the cause): I have started a Quick draft for Aetherdrift about a month ago using the quick draft token you get for starting but I just played one match and then didnt open arena for a week or so. That means the event ended with me having only 0:1. There was also no rewards collection message, no nothing. After that I played two Final Fantasy drafts, one 4:3, the other 7:1. But the challenge for "playing 3 quick draft matches" is still at 1/3. So just start a quick draft with this challenge active and then wait for it to expire to reproduce this.
    2. Steam
    3. 1/3 matches of Quick draft no matter how many I have actually played, also when I click on the challenge, it does nothing (I think it should take you to the quick draft screen but not sure tbh)
    4. I am expecting the challenge to fill up when I play Quick draft matches, as it says on there...
    5. Picture one shows the quest having 1/3 matches, picture two shows me being Silver rank (meaning I definitely played more than 3 matches of quick draft, also notable by gem count)
