Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.



Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  1. Card information

    I’m new to magic and one thing that would be very helpful to me would be an option to read how to use each individual card. Sometimes the hardest thing for me is interpreting the language on the card and every description just reiterates the same paragraph. It would be awesome to have a 2nd more informal definition of how to use the card…..maybe there could be an option to view images with examples using the card

  2. How do you not have match history yet? Like that feels like it should be a better minimum feature to make sure it was properly recorded

    In case somebody accidentally types in the wrong results last minute, it would be great if you can go back to that time, report the correct results to the store or judges. Or you can bring it up as a helpful game history log to know your matchups and how well you did. Make an optional even if you feel like it makes for bad feels. But at the very least make it available

  3. Specify types of wanted notifications

    Add ability to opt out of ads/marketing related notifications at a minimum. As a stretch goal, the ability to specify which types of notifications (rounds starting, pairings, results, marketing for new products or events to name a few) a user would like to receive.

  5. Better option for companion life tracker

    Everytime I play Magic, I use life tracker in Companion app.
    It's so neat and easy.
    But sometimes I confused opponent's life when it's 6 or 9 because it's upside down for my sight.
    So, my suggestion is simple.
    First, when life is 6 or 9, underline the number so anyone can recognize a correct direction of number.
    Second, add a option for verticalized view.
    Mostly I put my phone beside the battlefield. I look at it sideaway.
    If the life number is rotated vertically, I and my opponet feel comfortable.

    Let us save the advanced search details, so one does not need to set the search queries every time.

    Any cards I search that is two sided or flip when clicked in I cant see a picture.

  8. Event Removal

    When adding an event in error or having to cancel due to changes in plans there should be a way to remove your request to be added to the event to minimize any strain on the event holder.

  9. Pairing

    So this has happened to me twice at two events (45 person event and 135 person event).

    At the 135 person event, I am 5-0 (10-1). I played my match 4 and 5 at table 1. Pairings pop up for round 6, and I am moved to table 3. Neither I nor my opponent had played the players at table 1 or 2. I was the only player with 1 game loss where the table 1 and 2 players had 2+ game losses.   11. Event Final Standings

    After playing an event with the Companion app, I was not able to find the final results of the event in Companion. However, the results did exist, as I could access them through the alert message that Companion sent to my phone's operating system at the end of the event.

    It is annoying that the final standings of an event cannot (apparently) be found through Companion itself, even though they are actually generated (as they should be).

  12. Shorter times for turns

    Turns are too long, players drag out turns when they know they will loose and the sandclock reward is given much too loosely and wastes time for others. Either really reward fast turns with more time later on or just let it be. No downside for taking forever in each turn is not rewarding for faster players who just loose interest.

  13. Historic Legality has several issues on Companion

    Historic Legality is pretty arbitrary, but the recent addition of it to Companion's card database features a number of missing cards, missing sets and errors. In order, after a cursory check:
    -Jumpstart: Historic Horizons is completely missing, which is problematic since it features some of the strongest and most played cards in Historic, from Dragon's Rage Channeler to Thought Monitor.
    -Partly related, digitally exclusive cards are missing from Companion, be them from Jumpstart: Historic Horizons or later Alchemy sets, yet they're legal in Historic. Probably should be around if it's a supported format. (But then probably would have to have…

    Add the history matches of DCI account to Companion. Add the possibility to add one DCI number each Wizars account.

    Some cards for example Angrath, Minotaur Pirate are not in the database or don’t show up in a search.

    Please add card text and rulings in translated form. Specifically Spanish. I've been on a few billingual matches and an official translation on the companion app wouldake things so much easier!

    I tried searching for "search your library for a card" but it returned resulted that didn't have that exact quote. I think it searched without the quotation marks.

    Were you on Android or iOS? And what was the specific search? Did you use “Advanced Search,” then “Rules Text,” then add your specific search term?

  18. Constantly crashes/difficult UI for TO

    I have a lot of problems with this app crashing whenever I touch an option such as end event or drop players. I also have some issues with navigating the UI to find where those options even were. The top right drop down menu changing when you open an event is not intuitive and there needs to be easier ways to add players if you’ve accidentally started the event (had this happen multiple times when I was manually entering names but it wasn’t registering since I didn’t hit “done”).     Hi, are you using the Companion app to run sanctioned Wizards Play Network (WPN) events? If so, please make sure to use the EventLink website for those events; Companion is the player portion of the event management tools suite.

  19. Mdfc flipping in card database

    I didn't check all mdfc cards, but when I looked at Extus, Oriq Overlord the button to flip to the backside did not work as intended.
