1. Goldspan crash

   After the most recent update, my Android Arena app crashes every time goldspan dragon attacks, whether it be on my side or the opponents. I can sometimes rejoin the match, but the next attack crashes it again.

2. Lost out on rewards due to bug not recording game Win and “you don’t give out rewards” is garbage.

   When a customer loses out on a reward, item, etc. due to a failing on the part of your game and not of their own, your policy should be to compensate the player for that problem with your game and not be “we don’t give out gold, wild cards…”

   As a player, my time can be sporadic at times and it is rather troublesome to 1) not receive a quick turnaround (such as with limited duration events) and 2) be punished for failings on your game’s side that cause results to not be recorded.

   In this instance, my opponent conceded as I was attacking with lethal. I received the “Victory” splash screen. Then I got stuck at “waiting…” when it was trying to connect to the server. My laptop at the time had no issues connecting to the internet, verified via web browser search of “is MTG arena down?” That search reported that it wasn’t and to me showed I didn’t have a connection problem on my end (ie I’m connected to the internet and google’s search responded to the query). The game stuck at waiting until it reported an issue connecting with the server and prompted if I wanted to “Retry” which I selected. The game then crashed back to the initial loading screen and when I returned to the event, my win was not recorded on the rewards track.

   I then submitted the bug report and attached the log as a good lil’ customer and about a day later got a “well it was a free to enter event so…” type reply that discounts spending time playing your game as “free”.

   Given my limited play time, I was only able to play a little longer and managed to get in a win and hoped that I would get a reply, or be able to play again before the mid-week event ended. That wasn’t the case for either and as such I didn’t receive the reward for having 2 wins during the event (nor progress rewards for wins). Reporting this all got the “we don’t reward gold, wild cards, etc.” reply to which I am commenting on as they also said that if I thought it should be handled differently I should put it up here… so here it is.

   Please tell me why this policy exists and how it harms Wizards in such a manner that awarding a random (likely uncommon) card.

   Also please explain how my opponent can concede, I receive a “Victory” notification, and the server still not see the results? Does it not record the concession from the opponent for the game? Is it a direct connection between the players and the server isn’t involved? Ie I was notified of the victory, but it wasn’t a notification from the game server? If the lack of results had occurred without the game completion graphics, I’d be less confused, but after the “Victory” notification and leaving the battlefield, one would assume that the server should have the results recorded somewhere.

3. Gideon of Trials/Tactical Advantage Bot Match Crash

   When playing a bot match if “Sparky” casts Tactical advantage during combat of any player’s turn Arena crashes. And if loyalty counters are activated on Gideon of Trials during a bot match Arena crashes.

4. Kiora, Soverign of the Deep Trigger Bug (Pics Attached)

   Playing Magic The Gathering: Arena on PC via Steam.

   When a spell is cast which would cause Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep to trigger two things can happen:

   A) If the spell WOULD NOT reveal a spell of lesser mana value which the player would be able to cast then a browser will pop up and show the revealed cards, displaying them as intended.

   B) If the spell WOULD reveal one or more spells which could be cast with the trigger, the ability will bug and the browser will not appear. The applicable number of cards will be revealed by being shown face up on top of your library (though you can typically only see the top card or two due to them remaining stacked in your library.

   -a) If the top card can be cast as part of the resolution of Kiora's ability then you may select it and do so, however you are not able to select any card under the top card.

   -b) If the top card cannot be cast then you cannot cast any of the cards that you would be able to that are also revealed because they are hidden under it and cannot be selected or viewed.

   Note that in some cases a card under the top card can be seen sticking out from the bottom of the library. I am not sure what causes this, but you can see an example in my attached screenshots where I was even able to select the revealed card. Unfortunately it was another land in this instance so I am not sure if a spell would be castable if one were to "poke out" in this way during this bug.

   ---

   Note that using the inspect function (right click) does nothing with any of the cards on your library during this period.

   In the case of circumstance B)b) above where you get a "successful" trigger but the top card of your library is not able to be cast (such as being a land) then the only way to resolve the ability is to select either "Resolve" or "Resolve All" to bypass the ability by electing not to cast any revealed spells.

   This bug essentially makes Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep unplayable. Please fix

5. Other platform and formats

   I wish you guys would add 2v2 to Arena at least on PC and when you do add it to Xbox and PlayStation consoles, there’s so much more profit to be made and just make support for bugs only don’t even add a card banlist suggestion option.

7. broodlord

   Attempting to cast Sacrifice from exile using Hoarding Broodlord to convoke for the black mana and as the creature to sacrifice cannot be done. It asks to pay black, but once you tap broodlord it says "Action cannot be completed due to unpayable cost." and only allows you to cancel the spell.

9. Cropping bug on 2560x1600 (16:10) resolution on Windows

   I'm recently using a 2560x1600 (16:10) resolution on Windows and the borders of the screen are cropped. Some examples: when I right click on a card on game, I see only part of it, the left part is cropped (shown in a png). In "Recently Played", the first option appears incomplete (left part cropped). In the Quick Draft main screen, the "Resign"button appears cropped as well. If I change the resolution to any 16:9 like 2560x1440, the borders are not cropped any more, but I see a top and bottom black thick borders (shown in the other png). The problem is that I can't bring the mouse to the bottom of the screen to pick or drag the cards in hand into play any more. I need to find where the mouse is, then bring it a bit upwards, then get to where the card (screen) starts, and then I'm able to pick and use the card. It's very annoying and uncomfortable, really. It takes a lot of mental energy and attention, that is taken from the focus on the game. It affects the gameplay and overall performance.
   Is there any solution for this? Thanks in advance!

10. Mastery pass mythic reward

    Mastery Pass reward from level 47 of the final fantasy mastery pass not recieved! I also cannot capture log from Android mobile which is what im currently playing on. But two mythic rewards were not given. I'd expect them to be given since I paid for them.

13. Mana Problem

    Hey guys i wanted to write just to please recommend working on your shuffler. Its always super maddening when you loose a game when ypu got stuck on your second mana for the rest of the game or when you get mana after mana after mana. I feel like theres something very wrong with the mana distribution. I get games with 19 mana decks where i get more mana draws than a 25 mana deck. Explain how in real life that would happen, not even if your a bad shuffler youll grt 4 or 5 straight mana draws in a 19 mana deck. Again please rework the mana situation

14. This Company ignores reports. Don't pay any real world money until they respond!

    The interface is buggy.
    Simple stuff — Some cards do not give you the option of priority when the rules state that you get to have it. Some cards also give you priority when there are no targets, forcing you to pass at every single step (ie Jolted Awake).

    Less simple stuff — Other players that auto-concede are either disconnecting/disconnected or are running a trainer that force quits. Us legit players will have to sit through it when it gets stuck. These should NEVER turn out to be a "draw". Give the win to the person who showed up and didn't leave.

    Hard for people to comprehend stuff — (I have done PvP game modding so don't try to troll or gaslight me, k?) Players are using trainers. The cards highlight white when the other players are looking at it, but only one "section" at a time can highlight at a time. When everything on their board flickers, or their deck skips, you can see that they're using a shuffle trainer, and you can tell they are randomizing their hand by clicking a menu option. It's why every turn they take is an extra 15-20 seconds from a "normal" turn. This is most apparent when they start to run down the timer and then you see their cards flicker 3 times, then they suddenly have a perfect response for everything, and typically they'll either win in the next 2 or 3 turns, or (rarely but I have seen it and, again, I won't be gaslighted) they'll attempt to cast a spell without paying its cost (probably an "untested" option on the trainer that comes with a warning) and they'll auto-concede.

    I've seen this in about 20% of games I play. I am familiar with how scripting works (C++, Angelscript, etc.) and how mods can adjust data through a keypress interface. If you want to know more about how trainers work, GOOGLE THEM. It's VERY EASY to find out what they are. MTGA trainers are not public, because (in case you didn't know) there are locked forums that post links to download things via dark web. I have been in PvP clans before and saw these firsthand, and it's absolutely not a new thing. Even within the locked forums you have to reply with a "Thank you" or upvote their post in order to see their links.

    Now that I've explained for the greener folks, I should assume that some the ones who do know also work for the digital game team, and are probably instructed to deny and ignore, because while people are using trainers to win (this is highly likely, so let's just accept that it's worth looking into), they may not be using it to get certain store items for free. Perhaps they're still paying real world money, and I think that's the only reason the dev team is pretending it's not a real issue.

    Problem is, your less enfranchised players take up the majority of your customer base. We're the ones who have to constantly put up with losing to people who are probably as abusive and disrespectful in real life (another story; bullying is just wrong) because we simply don't do microtransactions.

    This company has to get it together if they want the game to last a while. Some of us who are very capable of collectively impacting things are really starting to get fed up, and I, for one, hate that I even have to think that way.

    Maybe do something.

16. land issues due to hand smoothing

    still running into issues with my land draws being based on the opponents deck percentages not just mine. it happens very often where opponents playing extremely low or high land counts disrupt my odds of drawing land. this also effects color of lands too. also the hand smoothing doesnt take verge's land types and opening color ability into account like if im playing riverpyre verge it thinks it is a blue source so it will make me draw three of them and a bunch of blue cards. the hand smoothing mechanics really need an overhaul!!!!

17. fix this garbage algorithm make it just matchmake for whoever is in the game stop the aggro vs aggro garbage

    it match making is aggro vs aggro, etc etc fix this also mana algorithm is still busted =. I am growing to hate this game , i have spent hundreds of dollars on arena. it makes me want to quit . fix it

19. American Flag Sleeves Bugged

    Why are the american flag sleeves bugged? on mobile, the sleeves are available, and can be seen by at least me, but on my mac/PC and ipad, they are equipable, but not viewable by me or other players.

    can someone answer why this is? Ive obviously tried all the easy stuff like restarting and re-installing.

20. Historic Brawl needs reworking

    This format is my preferred to practice Commander/EDH ideas that are decks ideally for multiplayer format, but have to be tuned more to 1v1. The issue in this format is that having only the one option for Historic brawl matchmaking means that you get set against decks that are not enjoyable or honestly even fair to play against in a 1v1. Kotis the Fangkeeper and Ugin, Eye of the Storms are the newest and most prevalent perpetrators of this issue. We need another bracket to go in for more casual play or be able to set up commanders that you do not want to get matched against. It makes doing daily challenges or even just playing the game unbearable at times. I just feel like the evaluation for this function of Arena was not held in the same light as others.
