How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

 

Examples of product suggestions: Feedback on visual effects, recommendations for user interface improvements, new feature requests

  1. Mobile Settings Menu Issue

    When pressing the gear icon on the top right corner of your screen to open the settings menu on a mobile device (in my case, Samsung Galaxy a52), there is a chance for your buttons to not be labelled.

    The only workaround I can seem to find is to close and reopen the app, which only fixes the bug occasionally.

    These occurrences are all at random intervals and seem to have no pattern to them. However, this bug only appears to occur on android devices.

  3. Frequently crashes on iPad

    MTG crashes frequently on my iPad. I can see from searching the web and from your own technical support page that many other people are experiencing this. It's cost me many games. Just now it crashed at the beginning of a draft costing me the first three picks, and then again in the middle of the second pack. Please compensate my account for at least a few drafts or I will stop playing magic, go back to hearthstone, and post my experience everywhere i can on social media and on the web. This is extremely frustrating.

  4. Fix the misleading golden pack in-game pop-up information

    While in the store, you can see the 10 pack track of the golden pack, and below it information about which packs are eligible to progress said track.
    Problem: hovering over the packs gives a different (and a bit misleading) information.
    Solution: Specify which packs get you closer to a golden pack instead of saying "every pack bought with gold or gems"

    Happened to me yesterday, checked the pop-up without checking the text below (for some reason), thought any pack would progress the gold pack track, bought 10 Murder on Karlov Manor packs, got nothing, was very sad :(

    Completed 2 game wins and my XP didn't change on my mastery count. Stuck at the same 800 points without any increase.

  6. AVATAR BUG

    How come all the avatars in my collection and avatars in the store are not showing up? Even during matches, avatars are not showing up. Is this a bug?

  9. deck editing problems

    Good evening
    since the last update a few days ago I have a couple of my decks in which I can not access to make changes stays on hold but does not proceed to enter into it and remains blocked them even for hours and the only way to unlock the situation is to close Arena and make it start again.

    Another problem I’m experiencing is that lately you have a very very high land draft rating almost unusual in every game I play.

  10. Transparency with RNG, algorithms, test results

    A few months back I recorded 1000 of my b01 ranked games, including land draws as a proportion of cards seen (drawn/scried/milled/whatever was on top of my deck). I calculated the probability of that land draw using a hyper geometric calculator. I assumed the odds of land draws should follow a normal distribution with the mean being a land draw that is proportionate to the lands in the deck.

    I found that games were more likely to be .5 standard deviations away from the mean, in each direction, than they were to be close to the mean. About 22% chance…

  12. I can't edit any decks.

    Since the update today, I can no longer update any of my decks. When I go to edit deck it just stays frozen on the "Waiting for Server..." screen.

  13. Game unresponsive

    Mac user, game is unplayable after last week's update. Game load fine but clicking "decks" or "play" causes the loading screen to freeze and the game becomes completely unresponsive. This only happens when I try to play on my brand new Mac. The game continues to run fine on my 10 year old machine.

  14. Text invisible in settings

    Using Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, both in cover screen and in inner screen.
    After using the application for a while (either playing a match or browsing around the menus) all text in the settings becomes invisible. Both the main settings menu and the inner Gameplay and Audio menus.
    When restarted, the text is visible again, and then stops being visible after using the app for a while.
    The language chooser's items seem unaffected, but only when it's openez.

  15. Field of the dead incorrectly displays number of different lands

    My opponent does not have that many lands. Mind that it does seem to count lands correctly, but the displayed value is wrong.

  16. Latest Patch Makes Proton Not Work

    Latest Patch Makes Proton Not Work.
    Magic Arena worked fine until this latest patch. I was using Proton 5.0-10 and it was lovely. With this new patch, the game crashes on that version and version 5.13-16. Later (more recent) versions 6.3-8, 7, 8, etc., are so stinkingly slow that the game is not even playable. Please fix whatever got broke. Thanks.

  17. Bug: Audio temporarily blips while context switching.

    Bug: If you context switch in Windows with audio active while in the background, it still pauses the audio when you tab between windows, for about a second.

    Machine:
    Dual monitors on Win 10. Have tested with both HDMI sound output and headset.

    STR:
    Set up dual monitors
    Check "Play Audio while Minimized" in the client options.
    Play a game so you have sounds going off constantly

    Click your mouse in a window on your second monitor to context switch while a sound is playing in MTGA. (Also works if you alt-tab to a program on that monitor).

  18. O jogo não conecta usando a rede móvel

    O jogo somente conecta quando uso alguma rede Wifi. Já verifiquei as permissões em meu celular e está tudo desbloqueado para usar redes móveis. Eu sempre joguei usando a rede móvel e logo após a última atualização meu magic arena só conecta usando o wifi.

  19. Deleting decks defaults game mode to Ranked

    I typically play only unranked Historic Play.

    Every time I delete a deck, any deck, the game automatically switches itself to Historic Ranked. Which I then often click without realizing because I was playing unranked games, or have to manually change back to unranked each time.

    Not sure why this happens, whether it is a bug or intended feature. However, deleting a deck should not automatically switch which game mode you are playing.

    I feel as if it has something to do with the "Recently Played" thing, but I typically only play Historic Ranked the day it resets. Then back…

  20. Stuck on this screen, has been this way post update

    Every time I try to start up a new match, I receive an error saying that it has trouble submitting my deck, and during that time, I also get an error message saying I need to reconnect. It does this continuously, and the game is unplayable.
