1. Deck builder glitch

   I am playing on iPhone (IOS) and I have only played limited so I’m not sure if this affects constructed. Whenever I draft, if I go to click my deck box icon and check something like my creature count or card types, I cannot get back into looking at the actual deck building screen. It just glitches out and keeps popping up the change deck name window. No matter where I click I cannot get out of the look at types overlay. The only way out is to click a different tab at the top such as home or something and then I have to discard all the changes I have made to my deck. This is very frustrating and I have to go and remake my deck every time. Whenever I click the leave tab for in the overlay like I have talked about there is also a visual white spot thing that pops up very briefly.

2. draft cards dissapeared

   did a premier powered cube draft last night and after i think it was 5 games played when i think i was 3-2 record i decided to change up my deck because i was running into a bunch of red/white aggro decks and i had cards like parrelax wave and some extra removal that i wanted to add to the deck but when i clicked on the deck to do changes to the deck the only cards i was shown that i had were 2 nonbasic lands. so i was like f it w/e and of course lost to another aggro deck to complete my 3rd loss. before writing this i opened the client today which is the next day and the cards were still gone.
   i will attach a screenshot which is from today and also the log file.
   very disapointing....
   and this is frickin funny now i just checked and the cards are back this is some BS.

3. VIvi Ornitier Bug

   Thank you for addressing my problem.
   As I explained in the request I sent.

   I was playing this morning, went out to run some errands, and when I came back and opened the game, it gave me a reward (Vivi Ornitier)... I said, "Great! With that, I have 2 copies," and when I checked today to put it in the deck, I only had 1 copy.
   I thought it was strange.
   I hope it can be resolved.

   As you can see in the attached files, the first one shows Viví Ornitier, and the second shows the same card but with the Arena logo in the upper left corner (which I can't use in standard format =( .) hence my confusion regarding my request for help. When I click "create," it says: "You will get 2 copies of this card," which is what confused me. Without further ado, please excuse my mistake (I'm still not clear on some aspects of the game; I've only been playing for about 3 months). I appreciate the support and attention you provide.

4. App inaccessible after last android update

   After the. recent update on Android this (Galaxy S9 device: supprted via article) this Oct 15th the game is unplayable

   Support attempted:
   If your game is having some performance issues, such as crashing, freezing, or trouble starting:

   Make sure you're playing on a supported device - YES
   Make sure you have the latest update for the app - YES
   Check your device's internet connection: toggle WIFI off/on -YES
   Turn the device off and back on -YES
   Force close other applications that may be running in the background - YES
   Uninstall and reinstall the app - YES
   Make sure that you are on the most recent operating system for your device -YES

   None of this resolved the issue.
   Logged issues with tech support and they just deflected.

   Please resolve this issue ASAP.
   It is causing Android users to miss out on all their events and you will lose this user base.

   It seems like EVERY time an update happens something goes wrong with your app and connection issues are incredibly common.
   Do you even do UAT testing?!

5. Counter spelling your own card

   Attempting to counter my own spell by paying an alternate cost that would sacrifice a stolen permanent.

   In a final fantasy draft, I had a Retrieve the Esper exiled by Opera Love Song and a Louisoix's Sacrifice in hand. The opponent had a Squall SeeD Mercernary on their board. I used Unexpected Request to steal Squall and swing with him. In in second main I casted Retrieve with the intention of countering it with Louisoix sacrificing the enemy's Squall. But it didn't let me cast Louisoix's so I couldn't sacrifice the Squall and drew no other way to get rid of him, losing me the match and getting the last loss to lose the draft overall. I thought I was about to have a genius level play getting rid of Squall but it wouldn't let me do it. I even double checked to make sure that I had the 1 blue mana needed after casting Esper.

   This was on mobile Arena on an Android phone.

6. draft deck order bug

   I experienced a bug where the deck order was wrong. After one mulligan I put a card (a card which only one-of was in the deck) on the bottom of the library. No deck searching occurred in the match. However, I still drew that card after several turns. I check again after the match to confirm - and there was only one in the deck.
   
   This appears to be an error in the deck ordering on the server side - I have attached the .log but this doesn't seem to be a client side issue.
   I haven't been in many drafts and the ones I was in rarely had mulligans. Shouldn't be too difficult for you to find if you keep server-side game logs - happened on 5/29/2025 later in the evening (EST).

   Spent 1k gems but likely would have still lost - more concerning that it calls the actual deck order and remaining gameplay into question.

   Most likely this is in your deck order optimization routines - the ones that smooth gameplay by optimizing draws for traditional gameplay rather than full-random ordering. If I had to guess the weighting likely applies to each card in the deck and is triggered after the first hand is drawn - when it should occur after the final mulligan or keep action is taken.

7. Kethis, the Hidden Hand totally bugged after whatever they did to it recently

   The card is completely ruined they’ve completely bumbled the update of the card. Whoever did it should be fired!
   They broke it in multiple ways it’s like someone had a vendetta against this card! Your devs either do NOT know what they’re doing, or they’re just plain toxic and should be fired, otherwise it must be a bug that can hopefully be fixed.

   You can’t even select the cards to play them from the graveyard if your graveyard has about thirty cards in it, cards on the far-right are ACTUALLY unselectable now (it wasn’t like this before just a few weeks ago). All I had to do was have around thirty cards in my graveyard and a decently-sized hand, and the far-right cards were not selectable from the playable graveyard pile, upon activating Kethis’ ability.

   Not only that but also they reworked Kethis’ ability to automatically exile two cards in the graveyard if you tap on Kethis (it did not do this before). So if I have two Legendary creatures in the yard and try to check his ability, it no longer shows your options (it simply exiles the two cards without any confirmation total waste of two creatures in the yard). Who is the crackhead who did this?

8. Can't select Kozilek, the Great Distortion as Commander for deckmaking in Brawl

   I'm on Arena for PC.

   The bug is this: I built a 100-card colorless Brawl deck, with the intention of having Kozilek, the Great Distortion as commander. But no matter what I do, the deck won't allow me to make this the commander. When I open the deck, the "Commander" tab at the top of the deck is empty, and I try to drag Kozilek there but nothing happens. It won't accept it, whether the "Commander" tab is glowing after clicking on it or not. It DOES accept legendary ARTIFACT commanders, like Karn, Legacy Reforged and Hope of Ghirapur so the tab is responsive to accepting commanders and the deck is full of legal cards. But I don't want those as my commanders. I want Kozilek. Additionally, NO legendary colorless eldrazi is accepted in the deck's commander slot. I tried all of them. I also checked that I'm building a regular Brawl deck, and not Standard Brawl. It isn't an issue of format legality.

   Finally, I read that having a copy of Wastes in the deck can cause issues, so I removed them. It didn't help at all. Please advise.

9. Game Win Not Counted in Standard Bo3

   Was just playing Standard Bo3 playing Jeskai Control vs. an Esper mill deck. I won the first game on my upkeep with the burn from Jeskai Revelation with zero cards in my library. Sideboarded and won game two as well, then the game sent us to sideboard again and we played a game three. I know I'm not misremembering because my sideboarded cards were already in my deck (like my two copies of negate) when it sent us back to the sideboard for the third game. I also double checked that I didn't lose the first game despite casting the burn on my upkeep, because when it sent us to the third game the opponent didn't have a game win either. First game just got deleted.

   I don't really have screenshots because it was timed so I just played the match.

   My guess is that because Jeskai Revelation also has a draw two effect that would've killed me the client just bugged, but I'm pretty sure the burn is supposed to go off first because it's first on the card. Ended up winning the third game anyway but I was low on time and pretty scared lol.

10. Finding Cards That Are On MTGA?

    Apart from searching specific cards, you cannot easily find new cards that have been released. Say like Set:SPG is a bit of a secret when special guest cards are released to MTGA.

    So when you add cards via:
    https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/mtg-arena/announcing-the-arena-powered-cube

    and say "The initial list of cards on the bonus sheet are:" and "More cards will be revealed throughout the week. Check out Luis Scott-Vargas's and Paul Cheon's YouTube channels on October 22 for more updates!" This implies that there will be MORE cards than just the listed cards.

    I cannot name one specific set or look up an anthology to see this. Would be easy to make a new list “Set:Other Bonus Sheets”.

    Sometimes only looking at new cards is helpful. Like on Scryfall, I can open up the set drop down and see TMT, ECL, TLA, SPM as direct to Magic (the bonus sheets and sets that take more research can still be found: when you type ‘Avatar’, then I see both TLA and TLE sets).

    When MTGA was first released the search tools was a solid B grade. However plenty of new symbols and partial sets exist; that you cannot easily find what you want. Like phyrexian mana can be searched but you need a 3rd party to tell you how to use MTGA fully or just use Scryfall to search for said phyrexian mana.

    It is time to update MTGA search tool.

11. Incorrect set release date

    Currently, on the Profile page, if one is to go to the list of cards collected by set by clicking on the current set progress, there is a bug with the data displayed for the original Ixalan (XLN) set.

    Currently, the expansion shows its release date on September 29, 2018, while the original release date was September 29, 2017 on paper and November 3, 2017 on Arena during the closed beta period.

    While I get it that the open beta period only started on September 27, 2018, other sets that were released during the closed beta period have their dates correctly introduced, such as Rivals of Ixalan (RIX), Dominaria (DOM) and Core Set 2019 (M19).

    I understand that this is not a very relevant/priority issue, but it's also one that should take no longer than 30 seconds to fix.

    Please let us know if there is a reason for this to be the case, or if it is in fact a known bug/issue that's just not fixed because it's not a priority.

    As per the bug report structure as asked:
    1. Open Arena ⇾ Profile ⇾ Set progress ⇾ Scroll down the set list until the bottom ⇾ Click on Ixalan (currently 4th last) ⇾ Check the release date is incorrect on the right-hand side.
    2. I've verified this bug on PC, Steam and Android, but I'm very certain it should also happen on the other platforms.
    3. As described above, I see the Ixalan (XLN) release date as September 29, 2018
    4. I expected to see either September 29, 2017 (paper release date) or November 3, 2017 (arena release date)
    5. Added, as an attachment, a screenshot of the incorrect release date on the client.
    6. I haven't found a workaround, and I don't think one is possible.

12. Experiencing "Shadow cards" for an unknown reason involving Sheltered by Ghosts

    I have no idea what really caused the bug so here is the situation:

    I was playing Simic Eldrazi in the Historic Metagame Challenge (bo3) against Boros Auras. I had an Ugin, Eye of the Storms on the battlefield and passed the turn to my opponent. They cast (or tutored with Light-Paws, can't remember) Sheltered by Ghosts and exile Ugin. Nothing strange so far. A turn or two later I attempt to look at the pile of auras under Light-Paws, considering bouncing their Sheltered with my Ugin's Binding. Except when I click on the pile, all cards are invisible and I am seemingly unable to interact with them. I eventually succeed in bouncing Sheltered by Ghosts (which stays invisible) but my Ugin seemingly doesn't return to the battlefield. I check my exile zone, and notice that the card is invisible, but clearly still appears to be there, as the other visible cards do not appear centered on screen.
    I cannot win without Ugin so I concede and proceed to sideboard. Unfortunately I did not take any screenshots for this first game, but I do have some for the next game.

    In the second game, things get even weirder. I immediately notice that my seven-card opening hand has 2 clear gaps in it. I'll call this phenomenon "shadow cards". So I have two shadow cards, and so does my opponent for some reason, but I keep the hand anyway and start playing to avoid timing out. I quicky notice that the shadow cards are not actually gone, as I can see what seems to be a Mind stone glowing in the middle of my deck as if I can cast it, which I attempt to do without success. Moreover, not only cards, but also triggers seem to randomly become invisible, as shown in the case of Esper Sentinel's trigger, where we can see that the trigger animation seems to stay stuck above the card without being able to reach the stack. At that point I restart Arena during my opponent's turn to see if it resolves the issues, but I can't get back into the game and get stuck on the bugged "description description description" waiting screen for over a minute, before getting the "Defeat" notification, presumably for timing out.

    This is the first time that such a bug happened to me, so I think it's worth mentioning that I was simultaneously on a WhatsApp video call on my Windows PC, regularly switching between the embedded image view and the regular app window, which I don't usually do.

    I have no idea what really caused the bug so here is the situation:

    I was just playing a game of BO1 Standard and my opponent played a Kona/Omniscience deck. Last I checked, Omniscience is banned in Standard.

14. Dead creatures activating abilities from graveyard without the ability to do so.

    2 games in a row where creatures abilities activated in the graveyard.
    Last I checked dead creatures are dead, and can only use their abilities if alive unless a few exceptions like flashback ad the such.

15. two legendary creatures on the board

    just lost a draft because opponent had two legendary creatures on the board, after reanimating one of them (two Nill, vessel of valgavoth, reanimated with Desecrex, gift of Servitude)

    please check, as it was a paid draft and i lost for reasons outside the rules of the game.

16. Repel the Vile Bug

    I have a complaint about this wonderful game because the card "Repel the Vile" threw a bug. I tried to target its creature with power 4 because its second phase of the red saga (The Shattered States era) gave it +1 card pool, and it automatically skipped my turn as if there were no targets. On my turn, it no longer had +1 card pool. I find this incredibly unfair. The card didn't have power 4 during its upkeep, so I understand skipping the phase then, but what about when they increased the power levels? It was 4-2, making it a creature that could be killed by the repel. I checked the steps and they weren't wrong, and I checked auto-pass, and it wasn't activated.

17. Warleader's callis double triggering for no reason.

    The card warleader's call is ddouble triggering fo no reason i triple checked all effects on the field there was no reason for the double triggering to occur. Everyone i know who plays online agreed with me we and decided to not spending 1 cent on this gane till you properly resolve all of the 20+ on-going bugs on mtg arena.

18. Yuna Bug

    I had Yuna in play which had returned a Summon Bahamut from the graveyard. I had also played an Overlord of the Hauntwoods, and an Overlord of the Mistmoors. Opponent had two blockers. I had sufficient for lethal damage in the air but the opponent chose to block anyways. While it did not have an adverse effect on the game, it is still a bug. When I hovered over Yuna before leaving the match I noticed that Yuna read that she had the same bonus she gives to enchantment creatures even though she was a normal card with 2 +1/+1 counters on her.
    Again, it didn't affect the game but just wanted to let you know what I found. I haven't thought to check during gameplay to see if the bonus was given any other time. I had no need to check but am glad I did. It may do that in other games and if so, then it needs to be corrected.

19. Dovin's Veto Card Missing

    The Dovin's Veto card cannot be found in deckbuilder. I have a deck with it already included, but it still won't appear in search or by searching manually. It is like the card no longer exists. I attempted to create a new deck with this card and when it couldn't be found in checked an older deck. I still can't find it even in the deck it already exists in.

20. Unexpected loss when doing thassa's oracle - tainted pact combo

    played Thassa's Oracle in my fourth game of the brawl metagame challenge. In response to the trigger I played Tainted Pact. Since I had 60+ cards remaining in my deck, I let the rope die and it automatically declines every card and sends my deck to zero. Opponent had only red mana and no counterspells in their hand (I checked with duress). Suddenly, in process of declining cards, the game said I lost. I don't know what happened but I surely think I should've won the game.
