2. Ban one card for sure! Stripmine

   Ban "stripmine". There are plenty of other non basic lands that destroy other lands. Two cards that ruined classic magic. STASIS and STRIPMINE. BANNED TOTALLY!! OR ELSE all decks will be stripmine decks..

3. Booster pack disappears after “Waiting for Server” and blank “OK” pop up on mobile

   I encountered an issue when trying to open booster packs in the MTG Arena mobile app.

   When I tapped a booster pack to open it, the message “Waiting for Server” remained on the screen for an unusually long time. After that, the normal pack-opening animation did not appear. Instead, a popup appeared with only an “OK” button and no meaningful error message.

   Tapping “OK” did not appear to do anything. I tried opening the pack again several times, but the same issue kept occurring.

   I then restarted the app. After restarting, the booster pack was no longer shown on the Packs screen.

   Because the pack-opening animation and card results were never displayed, I cannot tell whether the booster pack was successfully opened and whether the cards from the pack were actually added to my account.

   Steps to reproduce:

   Open the MTG Arena mobile app.
   Go to the Packs screen.
   Tap a booster pack to open it.
   “Waiting for Server” remains on the screen for an unusually long time.
   No pack-opening animation appears.
   A popup containing only an “OK” button appears.
   Tapping “OK” does not resolve the issue.
   After restarting the app, the booster pack is gone.

   Expected result:
   The booster pack should open normally, the opening animation should play, and the cards received should be displayed and added to my collection.

   Actual result:
   The opening animation does not play, a blank popup with only an “OK” button appears, and after restarting the app the booster pack disappears. It is unclear whether the cards were actually granted.

   Could you please check the server-side transaction or account history and confirm whether the cards from the affected booster pack(s) were successfully added to my account?

   This happens around 0800 to 0900 a.m. Japan time.

5. The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster

   When playing against The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster, the attack trigger of exiling a creature and then returning it to the battlefield didn't return the creature. For 3 straight turns, my creature was exiled after they attacked (no other abilities in play and nothing else on the stack) and the creatures were never returned.

6. Scute Swarm

   I want to know why if we are waiting on a triggered action and nothing we can do until the triggered action is done why the countdown of inactivity is counting down? I triggered a Scute Swarm action that caused over 150 tokens to be made and the counter counted down causing me to have a loss. No way to interrupt the action and no way to do anything but wait. This would have been a win for me , but instead a loss because of the timer system not recognizing that this is a triggered action.

8. Ridiculous draw system

   Your draw system is disgusting. How can you get only two land every single game and you don’t get your third until after somebody has completely destroyed the game? This is not good that’s disgusting.wake Up to yourself. Whoever designed that should be shot in the head and get somebody who actually knows what they’re doing.

9. Can't select card (pack 2 pick 1) LOTR Premiere Draft

   Can't select card (pack 2 pick 1) LOTR Premiere Draft - I was unable to select and pull a card (Boromir, Warden of the Tower) and instead the game selected the last card in the pack (Shower of Arrows, I believe). I could click the card and drag the card but when I did, it did not bring it into my deck and still had the Show of Arrows selected like it was my default pick. No other cards in the pack had this issue but it did affect my deck build.

10. Stuck in Match Queue / Games starts without me

    Since the last update, I can no longer join Brawl Games and now even different formats seem to have the same problem. The game will keep me stuck in the Queue for the Match while In-Game Audio suggests a game has started (and even ENDED in a loss due to timeouts) while the queue happily ticks on with no option to leave the queue (cancel button is gone) or forfeit the match (no option in the settings). This renders a large part of the game literally unplayable. Customer Support has redirected me here, but a post from last week on an existing topic stands ignored - in fact the problem has gotten worse (since previously only Brawl was affected, now Pioneer too), so I'm trying my chances with a new topic instead.

11. More Chaos/Mixed Set Drafts Please!!

    The recent Mixed Up Premier Draft' event has been a ton of fun! I have already queued for the event close to 20 times since it launched. The randomness of the packs and options available means every deck feels unique and every opponent's deck can have surprises. I've lost to and won games on cards I almost never see in any other format. Each draft is a challenge and tests the card evaluation of a drafter. In an age where draft guides are published before a set is even released, it's refreshing to have a way to play that is unpredictable.

    I think this event highlights how arena can have events that would be impossible to do in paper. My request is to please continue to have 'chaos' or highly randomized draft formats available. I would be cool to experiment with themed chaos drafts where sets with similarities are mashed together.

    For example, a chaos draft focused on a vehicle theme could include Kaladesh, kamigawa, neon dynasty, and aetherdrift.

    Or an enchantment focused chaos draft could include theros, theros beyond death, avatar, and kamigawa neon dynasty.

    Long story short, thanks for making the Mixed Up draft and I hope we see more like it in the future!

12. Ninjutsu bug with turtle lair where cost could not be paid

    When using these two cards turtle lair did not pay the ninjutsu cost for a ninja despite making 1 mana of any color for a ninja and or turtle

13. Duelist of the Mind has 1 power even if NO cards were drawn that turn

    Even if no cards had been drawn at all that turn (during controller's opponent's turn), duellist still has 1 power for some reason.
    On the controller's turn, it started at 2 power after their draw step, so it just seems to always be 1 more than the number it actually should be.

    It happened consistently over multiple turns and it DID deal combat damage on blocks so it wasn't just a visual bug.

14. Could Arena Better Handle Deterministic Infinite Combos?

    During a recent game of Competitive Brawl, I ran into an issue with the way Food Chain + Squee, the Immortal is handled on MTG Arena.

    For those unfamiliar with the interaction, Food Chain can repeatedly exile and recast Squee, generating additional mana each time through the loop. In paper Magic, this is relatively straightforward to demonstrate: once the loop is established, you can simply state that you are repeating it an arbitrary number of times and move on to whatever you intend to do with the resulting mana.

    On Arena, however, actually performing the loop can be extremely cumbersome. Because the game requires the same actions to be performed repeatedly, it is very easy to run into the chess clock and have the turn automatically pass before you can finish executing your line.

    This got me thinking: could Arena eventually implement a way to shortcut deterministic loops?

    I'm specifically thinking about situations where the game state is known and the player has demonstrated an infinite or arbitrarily repeatable sequence of actions. Rather than requiring the player to manually execute the same sequence dozens or hundreds of times, Arena could potentially recognize the loop and allow the player to declare something along the lines of:

    "Repeat this loop X times."

    The player could then specify the resulting resource total, while Arena verifies that the sequence is actually legal.

    This seems particularly relevant now that Competitive Brawl is becoming a more serious competitive format. I play this type of strategy in paper cEDH, where shortcutting deterministic loops is a normal part of tournament gameplay. Obviously, Arena has different technical requirements, but it seems worth considering whether some of those concepts could be translated into the digital environment.

    For example, a deterministic mana-generation loop could potentially allow a player to establish the necessary resources to execute a larger line without spending an unreasonable amount of time clicking through the same actions. A deck might use that mana to cast Terra, Magical Adept from the command zone, continue through a deterministic sequence until finding something like Purphoros, God of the Forge, and then convert the established loop into a win.

    I'm sure there are many other examples of this in Brawl and other Arena formats. Food Chain/Squee is simply the interaction that made me think about the issue.

    Why treat some infinite combos differently?

    This also raises a broader question for me.

    Arena already has a number of infinite or effectively infinite combos that players can assemble and execute. If those combos are considered legitimate gameplay and aren't being specifically prevented from functioning, why should a deterministic Food Chain/Squee loop be functionally limited by the timer simply because Arena requires the player to manually perform every repetition?

    I'm not suggesting that Arena should make infinite combos easier to assemble, or that every loop should automatically result in a win. There should obviously still be opportunities for an opponent to interact with the combo if they have a legal response.

    Rather, I'm wondering whether there is a distinction that could be made between:

    A loop that still contains meaningful decisions or opportunities for interaction, and
    A deterministic loop that has already been demonstrated and can simply be repeated an arbitrary number of times.

    In the second situation, forcing the player to manually perform the same actions over and over again seems more like a limitation of the interface than an intended part of the game.

    There are also some interesting questions about how this could work. For example:

    Could Arena allow players to declare a deterministic loop and specify how many times they want to repeat it?
    Could the client automatically verify that the loop is legal before allowing the shortcut?
    Could the player instead declare a desired resource total, with Arena determining how many repetitions are necessary?
    How should Arena handle loops that generate infinite mana but still require the player to perform a separate action to actually win?
    Should an opponent's ability to respond prevent a shortcut from being declared?
    Are there technical limitations that make this particularly difficult to implement?

    Most importantly, if Competitive Brawl is intended to have a meaningful competitive scene, should Arena's interface eventually accommodate the kinds of deterministic combo shortcuts that are already commonplace in competitive paper Magic?

    I'm curious what everyone thinks. Is this something Arena should eventually support, or do you think manually executing these loops is simply part of playing combo decks on the digital client?

    And if Wizards has a technical or design reason for treating Food Chain/Squee differently from other infinite combos, I'd be genuinely interested in hearing it.

15. Android UI softlocked game

    Choco triggered during a game and did not have a viable option to select. The current android UI put the button to continue underneath the "select all" button, causing me to get locked in a selection screen and forced me to timeout. Experienced on a Pixel 10 pro fold and this issue was present both in folded and unfolded display modes.

16. Remove the paradigm spells now

    The paradigm spells are all too broken in a 1v1 environment, especially when there are colors that have no response for them at all. Get them out of unranked queues completely.

    The game will not load properly, this happens periodically and fixes itself later without any issues. But it happens at everyday varying in duration from several hours to mins…

20. Game passed turn after casting when I still had options

    I was playing draft and I cast a card. The turn passed when I still had options. It cost me the game.
