It's July 29th, Why hasn't Edge of Eternities Unlocked
I woke up this morning excited to hop on arena and start brewing for new standard and brawl ideas. Only I'm sad to see that arena has not yet unlocked EOE despite saying available on July 29. Sure would be nice to have access.

Thoughts on Rebalancing Non-Digital Cards in Historic and a Proposal for Restrictions and Controlled Unbans
I’d like to share some constructive feedback regarding the current approach to rebalancing cards in Historic, particularly when it comes to non-digital (printed) cards.
I’ve been playing Historic on MTG Arena since its very beginning, and a big part of my enjoyment comes from constant deckbuilding and testing. I like exploring the full card pool while still aiming for competitive, well-tuned decks. From that perspective, I genuinely believe Historic is a great format — but also one that could be even better with a few structural changes and a more confident use of the tools that a digital-only environment allows.
Rebalancing non-digital cards: a solution that adds friction over time
Digital rebalancing made a lot of sense as an initial experiment, and it still does when applied to Alchemy or fully digital designs. However, over time it has become clear — at least from my experience — that applying rebalances to iconic, non-digital cards creates unnecessary confusion and frustration.
Cards such as:
Agent of Treachery
Orcish Bowmasters
Teferi, Time Raveler
Omnath, Locus of Creation
Alrund’s Epiphany
The One Ring
are just a few examples of printed, highly iconic cards that now exist in modified digital versions within Historic. This fragments player expectations, complicates deck evaluation, and makes the format harder to approach and reason about — especially when moving between formats or discussing card power in general.
I want to stress that these are representative examples, not an exhaustive list. My feedback applies to all non-digital cards that are currently rebalanced in Historic.
Wizards already took a step in this direction
Importantly, this isn’t just theoretical. A few months ago, Wizards already moved away from this philosophy by restoring The Meathook Massacre and Fires of Invention to their original versions and handling them through bans instead of rebalances.
That decision felt like a very positive correction, and to me it strongly suggests that the team already recognizes the long-term issues caused by rebalancing printed cards. My proposal is simply to continue consistently along that same path with the rest of the affected cards.
A cleaner alternative: original versions, bans, and restrictions
Rather than rebalancing non-digital cards, I believe Historic would benefit from a clearer and more coherent approach:
Use original printed versions of non-digital cards.
Ban cards when they are truly unhealthy for the format.
Introduce restrictions (1 copy per deck), similar to Timeless, as an intermediate and very powerful tool.
Restricting a card preserves its identity and excitement while preventing repetitive or broken synergies. It encourages more diverse deckbuilding and avoids the binary “playable vs unplayable” outcome that bans often create.
Personally, I think this restriction model could be valuable not only for Historic, but potentially as an experimental tool in other formats as well.
Encouraging controlled unbans and experimentation
In the same spirit, I’d also like to encourage re-evaluating long-banned cards. Historic has changed dramatically over time, and the card pool now includes many more answers and interaction points than when some bans were originally issued.
Cards such as:
Field of the Dead
Memory Lapse
Uro, Titan of Nature’s Wrath
Veil of Summer
(and others) could potentially be reintroduced under close monitoring, with the understanding that they can be quickly banned again if they prove problematic.
The key point is not that all of these cards must remain legal, but that there should be less fear around testing and adjusting.
Closing thoughts
Historic is uniquely positioned as a digital-only format. That flexibility is one of its greatest strengths. Leaning into experimentation, being willing to make changes — and even to correct them shortly after if needed — would, in my opinion, bring far more benefits than risks.
Some issues are inevitable whenever changes are made, but the long-term gains in clarity, consistency, and player trust seem well worth it.

Lorwyn Being Ignored
Why is Avatar still the splash screen for Arena when Lorwyn Eclipsed is the newest set? It makes zero sense that Avatar is still the front cover image for Arena, only deliberate sabotage of Lorwyn or just pure incompetence can explain this. Updating the splash screen for a game to reflect updates is something I expect a solo dev making their first indie game to do, so why is Arena failing this bar? Please fix this ASAP.

BLACK SCREEN WITH CURSOR ACROSS ALL DEVICES
game is not working on windows/mac/ios. reinstalling doesn't help - i see login but when I login its black screen again. how can i paly the game that i paid money for?

Casting Mirrorform during combat broke the display of block assignments
After my opponent cast Mirrorform during combat, the arrows showing block assignments were no longer displayed for me, making it hard to tell which creatures were blocking and blocked.

Just overall state of the game 2026
Standard is a dumpster fire, it would be insanely fast if not for the absurd number of board wipes floating around, so we have come to a really weird feel, the number of banned cards is nuts so I'd have to imagine there's no real plan here other then just keep printing pushed nonsense, I really feel like there's no one running the ship, or more like it only hasbro pushing sales is the actual design philosophy, I'm so sad the game I've loved for so very long is completely dead and sold out to not even good conmen, rip mtg

Tokens
This is two fold, but my game stopped spawning tokens at 256 goblins and also there should be a faster way to mass block with tokens or just in general. I timed out on mobile trying to make all the blocks. Combined it cost me the win. I understand there are limits to the software especially mobile but it's just kind of annoying.

Bug - Unable to play at all
IOS
After finishing the 5 initial training duels where you get the starting cards I am unable to log in the game anymore (tried several times for 2 days. The game starts to load but then just gives some network error althought when I try the option to check status all seems correct.
PC - Windows
I tried playing through Steam on my PC running Windows as well. I dowloaded the MTG Arena, signed in with the same credentials and got the exact same problem. So, the issue is not related to the platform1 vote -
Housemeld
Housemeld does not actually exile creatures. I used housemeld on opponents fanatic of rhonas. They later used casualty of wars and destroyed the enchantment. After it was destroyed they were able to externalize it as if it had never been exiled and it was out back into their graveyard from exile. Am I missing some clause in housemeld where it is only exiled while it remains an enchantment in play? Thanks!

High Perfect Morcant proliferate
Was playing brawl with Morcant and every time i use the proliferate ability it just doesnt work. I am able to target both my creatures and my oponents but nothing happens.

Didn't Receive Rewards in Lorwyn Premier Draft
I finished a Lorwyn Premier Draft with 7 wins and one loss, playing a Merfolk deck, but I didn't receive the reward of 2200 gems and 6 booster packs. Evidence of this is that I still have 4720 gems. Could you please help me receive the rewards? This is very frustrating. My account is "Julio Gandra#13121". I'm in Brazil, and I finished the seventh victory about 9h35PM (Brazilian time).

Eldrazi are OP in Historic
Two types of lands that tap for two mana, easy ramp, easy access to Cavern of Souls, land removal, hand distuption, card draw, controlling opponents turns—they just have so much to work with, they are too consistent. At the very least, Sowing Mycospawn should be banned so they can't consistently find Eldrazi Temple while simultaneously exiling an opponent's land.

Game keeps crashing
Using the iOS app. During matches in the Jump In Avatar event, the game unexpectedly freezes. There is no clear cause of the problem so I don’t know how you can reproduce the issue. But once the game reconnects, I have lost a turn while my opponent kept playing. I was essentially locked out of the match while it continued without me. This could be due to the complex came mechanics of the Avatar set or simply a server connection problem, but regardless nothing like this has happened to me before. Please look into it.

Black text on a black card
The card Phantom train has an alternate art that makes the text box of the card all black while simultaneously not changing the text to White from Black. This makes it very difficult to read the text of the card. This is on the Android version of arenas

Jump in - Mid week event
Jump in - Jumpstart midweek event. Avatar specific event. Selected swordsman (white) and rebellion (mardu) packs. Got 9 white cards (6 creatures, 2 instant, 1 enchantment), 1 red spell (an instant), 3 equipment colorless artifacts and a 3 color mana based consisting of 27 lands. Pretty miserable trying to use this in an event aimdd at beginners.

Mid week magic deck building issue
I really like playing the mid-week magic events, and signed up and started this weeks Jump In on the start day yesterday. I picked Roku and Powerful like you normally would. Then, upon playing and drawing too many lands, I checked the decklist and 29 on the 40 cards in my deck are lands. This makes the deck unbearably unplayable, and I’m confident the powerful half of the deck is what bugged bugged as I have no green cards other than lands. I play primarily on my iPhone and signed up for this event before whatever update you pushed on Tuesday.
