Luxurious Locomotive Not Creating Treasure in Quick Draft
Platform: Magic: The Gathering Arena (Mac)
Game Mode: Quick Draft
Date & Time of Occurrence: 20.02.2025Issue Description:
During a Quick Draft match, Luxurious Locomotive failed to create a Treasure token when attacking, which directly impacted the outcome of the game.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Control a Sheriff of Safe Passage with two +1/+1 counters.
2. Opponent, while at 2 life, removes Sheriff of Safe Passage with Desert Due.
3. In response, activate Luxurious Locomotive’s crew ability.
4. Afterward, cast Baron Bertram Graywater.
5. Attack with Luxurious Locomotive (which should have triggered both its ability and Baron Bertram Graywater’s effect).
6. Expected Outcome: Receive 1 Treasure token (Locomotive) and one 1/1 Vampire (Baron Bertram Graywater).
7. Actual Outcome: Neither trigger occurred; no Treasure, no Vampire token.Expected Behavior:
• Luxurious Locomotive should have created a Treasure token upon attacking.
• Baron Bertram Graywater should have created a 1/1 Vampire token upon attacking with an artifact.Actual Behavior:
• No tokens were created, despite conditions being met.
• The missing Treasure significantly impacted the game outcome, leading to a loss.Additional Information:
• The game did not indicate that triggers were missed or countered.
• No abilities that prevent triggers were in effect.
• The bug occurred after a response to a removal spell, potentially affecting the game state improperly.Attachments:
Game went on rather fast due to both players hellbent screenshot is from two turn later.
Please investigate this issue, as it significantly affected gameplay fairness.

My elvish refueler stopped working after I got it back when I tripped up my opponent's detention chariot that had it exiled. Steam user. I should have been able to use my scurry mouse for the 2nd time this game in my main phase but scurrymouse ability was still grey'd out.

Name Change
Please let me change my username in game. That's all. I just want a different username without having to go through support. But please don't make it cost currency, the game is already very expensive if you like playing lots of different decks that are rare/mythic card heavy.

Draft started lagging a lot during a game, FPS count was still 60 and the connection was solid
Was going trough an aetherdrift draft and during only match 4 the game started lagging making it really difficoult to play, not sure if any of those cards is involved, but those were the cards in that game.

Hello, I encountered a problem during a draft.
Arena made me leave 2 matches without finishing them, giving me 2 defeats without finishing the matches.
I kindly ask for a refund of 1500 gems.

Unable to swap quests
For a couple of days now I have not received the option to swap out one of my quests. Everything else seems to be working correctly, I do get a new quest each day, they track properly and I get rewards for completing them but I can’t swap it out for a new one each day.

App crash
Since the latest update, the app has new issues with the connection on iOS. The connection is often suddenly lost, and it is necessary to restart Arena. The problem, however, is that the app crashes repeatedly for a significant number of times, and often, due to the time spent trying to reconnect, it becomes impossible to continue the game. Please fix this.

Gold Freeze Glitch
I am not receiving any gold from wins while playing standard ranked matches, even though i have more daily wins left. I am stuck at 11,100 despite having 3 wins or so since I got to 11,000. Before the glitch i swapped a daily quest, and played more ranked matches. I didn't touch the deck editor, or any other screens. I tried to close the app and reload, I've tried to log out and log back in, nothing seems to update my gold count. I do remember being at 11,000 exactly, so i would expect my gold count to have gone up to 11,250 or 11,350 but it's stuck at 11,100.
Not sure if there's a way to post my log since I played on mobile, but if it's needed i can download magic on my laptop and grab the log that way.

Party of None achievement - currently bugged.
There have been a couple posts on this already, which I've voted, but thought I'd throw my own up too for visibility. Attempted to get the achievement via Goblin Charbelcher in historic - cast zero creature spells for the game, but didn't get the achievement.
In my case, I did play a Pinnacle Monk as a land (that is, as Mystic Peak), which in no way counts as casting a creature spell as per Magic rules (just ask any judge) - so I suspect it's a legitimate bug or mis-code, where the game can't tell that playing it as a land doesn't count as casting a creature spell.

Turn 3~4 wins in standard BO1 concern
Hi! This is a suggestion regarding the current standard BO1 meta, a concern that I have and share with a lot of people I've been reading comments from.
Playing 2 lands and then losing the game, repeatedly, is not fun. Dealing with that by playing some deck that also wins in turn 3 is not fun either, it's not a solution. I play Standard because I know that the other formats are even faster or more frustrating, so, not being able to actually get to play, even in Standard, it's concerning. It takes the fun of the game. So now the fun relies on deck building (that's easily consumed by just building them) and drafting. At least we have drafting. And BO3, of course, but regarding BO1, it's pretty much done, we can't get much fun from it, even in Standard Play. I play Ranked to reach a better place there, but the majority of the games end up in turn 3 or 4 and they depend on who plays first so, the game turned to be almost all about chance, not skill.
And if I built a new fun to play deck and I want to enjoy it, I go to Standard Play and I end up with the same decks... or with some variations like black discard or green toxic (almost equally frustrating).
So I have 3 suggestions:
1) Ban a lot of standard cards, really, a lot. I'd say almost every card in the meta decks. Or, if it's not possible...
2) Give us a new format or way, where we can play the strange decks we build, just to try them, just for fun. Someway where we can play interesting games, full of skilled moves, decisions, with at least 5 or 6 turns, to slowly build our strategies while seeing the opponent's. Not already losing before we could even start building one.
3) Start making cards less powerful or with higher cmc. Heartfire Hero, Sheltered Ghosts, Screaming Nemesis, Emberheart Challenge, Manifold Mouse, , and many more, should be at least 1 cmc higher.
If Lightning Bolt is too great to be in Standard, what are Turn Inside Out and Monstruous Rage doing there?

The window returns to windowed mode from full screen every time a game is entered or finished on PC.

Deck images chage irregularly
When I edit the decks, the deck image sometimes change to another card which I don't intend. In many cases, the deck images chage to the card which is not put into the decks. I often realize the accidental chage after finish editing, but I found the change can be seen while the editing.

Possession Engine and Swiftwing Assailant
My opponent took my Swiftwing Assailant with Possession Engine. A few turns later I destroyed my opponent's Possession Engine and got the Assailant back. However, the Assailant did not get the +0/+1 and vigilance even though I had max speed at the time. I could still attack and block with the Assailant as normal, but I never got the max speed bonus and I nearly lost the game without it.

Golden Pack rewards system
I would like to recommend that Golden Packs draw Rares and Mythic Rares from all sets rather than just the current sets in Standard and Alchemy. According to your drop rate site (https://magic.wizards.com/en/mtgarena/drop-rates), Golden Packs will, in fact, begin to pull Rares and Mythic Rares from all sets once every single Rare/Mythic Rare is exhausted from Standard and Alchemy. However, this scheme leads to a problem with potential negative financial ramifications for Wizards of the Coast. The most profitable sets for MTGA are the new sets that WotC comes out with for Standard and Alchemy. Further, the rewards progression are always tied to the most recent set that has been introduced. If Golden Packs draw exclusively from Standard and Alchemy, it provides a disincentive to purchase new packs in Standard / Alchemy and/or to purchase the "Set Mastery" for the current set since all of the Rare / Mythic Rare cards will be stripped out of the set with a fairly low number of Golden Packs.
Don't get me wrong; I LOVE the concept of Golden Packs and, at this point, I own a lot of them. However, I am very leery to use them since the last time I did I exhausted all of the Rares from several of the most recent sets, which meant that every time I earned a new pack from the Set Mastery track or earned a Rare from Mid-Week Magic, I would receive the (lame) message that I wouldn't be receiving anything (other than a couple of gems) because I already had all of the Rares for that set.
By pulling Rare / Mythic Rare cards from all sets to begin with, players have a much lower chance to strip out all of the Rares from Standard and thus continue to encourage people to buy new packs in Standard / Alchemy and also purchase the Set Mastery track, both money makers for WotC.
I love the game and I (mostly) love the rewards system. I just think Golden Packs could be meaningfully and usefully improved with this reasonably small change.

The card Armed//Dangerous has the correct art but they are applied to the wrong halves of the card.

Still missing wild cards for Jegantha ban
I received 1 rare wildcard via the initial announcement. I received 3 rare wild cards via the inbox message. I have 1 MOM Jegantha and 4 IKO Jegantha so I believe there is still one wild card missing, per Jay’s reddit post.

Complete Collection Export Option
Having an exportable list of ones entire collection would be incredibly beneficial for managing decks, planning future builds, and ensuring efficient use of wildcards and resources. While the in-game collection interface is helpful, an external record would provide more flexibility for analysis and strategy planning.

Sludge Monster effect not working correctly
Bug Report: Sludge Monster’s effect is as follows: “When Sludge Monster enters or attacks, target creature gets a ***** counter. As long as Sludge Monster is on the battlefield, creatures with ***** counters on them have base power 2/2 and loses all abilities”
I cast Sludge Monster and used it’s ***** counter ability on my opponent’s “Ilysian Dryad”, which makes it so the opponent’s lands are every land type. However, the problem is that Ilysian Dryad did NOT lose this ability when my Sludge Monster’s was both alive, and the Dryad had the ***** counter on it.
It should be noted that there were no other permanents or emblems that had the same or similar ability that the dryad did that could allow my opponent to have their lands be every land type.
In summary: The Sludge Monster’s effect upon entering the battlefield did not make the Ilysian Dryad lose it’s ability to make my opponent’s land every land type, even though that is what precisely should have occurred.
