How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

 

Examples of product suggestions: Feedback on visual effects, recommendations for user interface improvements, new feature requests

  3. ENGLISH: Act I - WAR Lore Event - Momir

    When I go to try to play games, the choices for formats are gone, only standard play standard ranked available. When trying to choose, none of my decks show and the left side choice area says:

    What's going on? Why can't i play or see anything having to do with historic or any other format?

  4. UI collapse, can't join games - all decks missing, mode selector radio buttons defective, stuck in event I didn't join

    Genuinely a wild setup

    I played this morning, and I'm not aware of a client update since, which suggests either data corruption at my end or a backend problem

    Several people on MTG Discord (not arena discord, I'm banned) are experiencing the same problem. One of them claims they were able to resolve the problem with VPN, suggesting that it may be a dead backend shard, but boy, what a wild UI presentation

    I have been unable to play for around four hours that I'm aware of; the last successful game was around 12 hours ago

  5. Reset password strength check broken

    On the wizards.com website, the reset password page (after opening the reset password link from my email). When I enter a new password it is stuck on the password strength check (must enter one lower case and one upper case letter) and won’t let me proceed with submitting my new password. I tried many variations of different passwords, and none seem to satisfy the strength check

  6. XP not appearing

    Since yesterday’s update, XP does not seem to be appearing, either for the daily missions, or for the weekly win mission. Coins seem to be appearing ok though, as are cards. Not sure why. iOS version playing on an iPad.

  8. Color Challenge stuck on resume

    I have completed all the color challenges, but a recent update that made some changes to the tutorial and the "learn more" section of the game has now placed a "resume" option on my home screen. There is nothing to resume, and therefore this flag will not clear. It's bugging me

  11. MTG Arena plays two different background musics at the same time after a draw game after a long waiting for matching

    When a player attempts to play a game, they may experience some long waiting for a match (perhaps 60 seconds) and then entering a game that suddenly ends in a draw. (This behavior is not what I'm reporting as a bug.)

    If it happened, the background music played during the suddenly-ended draw game keeps playing after leaving the battlefield. Then, if they play another game immediately, MTG Arena plays two different background musics, apparently one from the draw game and another from the new game.

  12. Freeze related to Graphic

    Everytime an animation start, the program freeze and I have to close it from the task manager.

    In particular I am not able to enter the store and I am not able to start a sealed (it always stop on the animation of the booster opening).

    I tried to reinstall the software, but nothing change. In the last 7 days I am been basically unable to play and to complete purchaise.
    I also lost a match due to that.

  13. Lag and freezing on Card animations and Sleeve animations

    After the Aetherdrift update (February 11th) the client on Windows PC lags and then freezes on Card & Sleeve animations, other parts of the client seems to work. Due to this I'm unable to get past opening of the packs in Sealed events, I'm unable to open packs. All the Sleeve reward parts of the Achievements tab don't open up (they try, but are awfully slow) but other reward parts there open with no problem. Basically all Card animations and Sleeve animations are bugged.

  14. epilepsy danger

    The "feature" of showing your opponents cards poses a legitimate Epilepsy danger when the opponent quickly hovers over many cards very quickly. A quick search over forums show that this is not an isolated incident. Player are occasionally doing this to troll their opponents.

    Recommendation: While showing what cards your opponent is looking at could be helpful, the option of disabling seeing the highlighted card (while still showing for your opponent) would be highly beneficial to an at risk portion of the player base. Another option would be to cap the speed that the card is highlighted. A player has…

  15. The new hover-over animation is distracting and annoying

    The Aetherdrift UI update introduced an animated white flash when the opponent moves their mouse cursor over a card. If the opponent sweeps their cursor across several cards, it creates a distracting shower of animated flashes. The effect draws too much attention, especially because it resembles the animated effects that show when a card has an effect on the game. It's annoying, distracting, and open to abuse if a player does it on purpose to confuse their opponent. Please roll back this change or provide an option to disable it.

  16. Can't equip more than 9 phrases emote

    In the emote selection section of the profile, I cannot select more than 9 phrases.
    The counter below the list correctly shows the correct number selected and gives out an error when going over 15.
    The general error of "cannot equip more than 15 emotes of the type phrase" appears after the 10th emote is selected, disabling the confirm button.
    Selecting and deselecting a sticker eliminates the error and reactivates the confirm button, but when pressed it shows another error and propts you to discard any changes.

  17. Update Not Running

    I receive an error message whenever I try and update Arena following the Aetherdrift update deployment. The error message states that it cannot continue while MTG arena is running, yet the installer is the only instance of this running. See attached. I've tried uninstalling the program and attempting to re-install and receive the same message. Please advise how this can be addressed.

  18. animation and pop-ups cause game to lock in both home screen and in matches

    While on home screen, if I hover over the Challenges buttons, the pop-up causes the game to stop responding and freezes. Freezes may also happen after boot up, while trying to connect to a match, during card animations, hovering over cards such as planeswalker cards. In general, a massive **** show. It even freezes when I am trying to buy packs!
    Preventing people from playing or purchasing seems like a terrible business model!

  19. arena keeps freezing when hovering over dailies or going to the store or finding a match

    Since the update on 9/13/24 I have been unable to do anything on arena. It loads up and when clicking anything and even hovering over dailies it freezes instantly and forces me to close the client.

  20. "Low" Graphics setting causing crashes

    The 9/12 update has resulted in many crashes, most of them related to interacting with various features on the front page. As suggested by users on Reddit, changing Graphics settings from "low" to "medium" resolves this issue, at least for the front page.
