1. Review/Insight on Spells/Effects/Abilities

   Can we get some reviews as to whether or not some spells actually work in game? Newer member to the Magic community but when it comes to spells, abilities, and effects the rules seem very straight forward as to just follow what the card says. So please correct me if I'm wrong and please provide some insight as to why so I have a better understanding.

   My example of this as it happened to me last night playing Brawl in Arena. I was using my commander to attack, my opponent had a creature with Deathtouch. Knowing this, I played the instant spell Not Dead After All, and applied it to my commander which would allow my commander to die but then return to the battlefield tapped. This was not the case. My commander died and was sent back to the command zone and the mana cost to cast was increased, it never went back to the battlefield as the Not Dead After All card described it would. As a side note, my opponent had no cards in his hand to perform a counter spell.

   When doing a google search, google says Deathtouch does not negate spells so I'm just a bit confused as to why my spell didn't work on my commander. The only thing I can think of is maybe because my commander has Ward the spell didn't activate, but I thought Ward was for enemy spells and not my own. Double checking the rule book, it states Ward is for enemy spells/abilities

2. cube draft

   Just playing Traditional Cube Draft today (30/03/2025) and suddenlly was kicked from the game. Trying to log in again to go back to the match and got the Network Error message. Checked my network, it was okay, even with another game. Restarted my network just in case. The message error persisted. Lost 4000 of gold and didn't played single match completly.

3. achievements

   Achievements just disappeared

   So I was playing a game in PC and realised I had no emotes or tilte equiped. When I tried to re-equip them, I just couldn't, so I went to check the achievements and well... Just check the screenshot I guess

4. Shadowborne appostles deck not working in brawl. Error message read "Your deck contains too many copies of the same card"

   After the newest patch, I tried to play brawl with my deck that contains 33 shadowborne aposttles. The deck appeared as invalid and when i checked the reason the deckbuilder said that the deck contained too many copies of the same card. no changes made to the deck before patch and suddenly it just didn't work. 2025.49.50.9127.1160287

5. Mtg Arena companion bug/crashing

   Currently dealing with a bug with companions. Checked my collection for a companion to use in one of my decks and noticed a black box among them. Attempting to click on it leads to a game crash. Thankfully can boot up the game no trouble after but it is a minor inconvenience that I can work around for now.

   Currently know of this bug on the Android version of Arena.

6. got kicked, resulting in gameloss

   1. playing Ravnica Alligens premier draft.
      
   2. connection starts stuttering
   3. checked connection and ping - all good
   4. gets kicked, try reconnecting, dosent work - server not responding
   5. check server status, reports all good
   6. cant reenter the game for around 10-15 minuts. when i reentered finaly, i had lost, which cost me the entire draft :(

7. final fanasty

   MTG Arena Direct Token bug? First time on MTGA here. Just played on MTGA Direct yesterday cuz of final fantasy. Spent like $1000 IRL moneys for gems and used all of it to try to win multiple boxes.

   I won my second Arena Direct Challenge for Final Fantasy but the token didn't update or shows 2? Does the number change or will it display two tokens? How do i check and cash out and collect my boxes?

8. Final Fantasy Premier Draft - Abrupt End

   The final fantasy premier draft ended apparently with no countdown. I checked around 10 pm EST on 10/7/25, and it was just gone - I had been on Arena less than twelve hours prior, and there was no 'ends in...' note on the event.

   Obviously, anyone who had an incomplete event at the time it was ended is owed a full refund in addition to the prize for their number of wins.

9. Shuffler, the way to stop those who win a lot in a row

   Shuffler, once again, destroying what could have been a good draft...
   I spend 1500 gems to play a draft, from the second win in a row, I always lose thanks to the ****** shuffler...
   Game 3: I go into the game with 3 lands in my hand, I end the game with 11 lands on the battlefield and 2 in my hand.
   Game 4: I mulligan because I only have 2 lands of the opposite color in my hand, I have 6 cards, 2 of them lands, in the 6 turns I played I bought the third land in the last turn.
   Game 5: Identical to game 3, just buy lands and the only spells I played were the ones I bought in the opening hand.

   Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. What I have observed tells me that when the player starts to win a lot in sequence, the way to stop him is through the shuffler. Surely earning 1600 or 200 gems constantly is not profitable for Wizards!

   See attached log... it would be reasonable of you, at the very least, to hand over a Draft Token. You can check the log and come to the conclusion that this is recurrent!

   Shuffler, once again, destroying what could have been a good draft...

12. Forced Mobile loss

    When playing on mobile if I connect to a game and then navigate away from the app to check an email or change a song im listening to or just to burn time cause im playing a salty player who wants to make me wait for the timer to run out, when I navigate back to the game it takes me from the game back to the main screen with what I'm assuming is a loss. It never used to do that. Something changed within the last couple update and it's not cool.

13. Incorrect trample distribution damage interface on Diamon Weapon

    When Diamond weapon blocks, Arena client does not allow to distribute trample damage, if any damage was dealt to it. Encountered this in situation described in “WTR” section and because of this I've lost my draft while having lethal. I should've dealt 8 damage to an opponent while they had 6 life and it cost me the game. Please compensate me a couple of hundred gems I've lost because of this.

    WTR
    1. Start turn with Diamond Weapon in the play, Light of Judgmen in hand and at least 10 lands, including at least 1 red source. Opponen has an untapped Diamond Weapon as well
    2. Equip it with Samurai's Katana.
    3. Attack with it.
    4. Opponent blocks with Diamond Weapon
    5. Cast Light of Judgement targeting opponent's Diamond Weapon
    6. Go to Combat Damage step

    Expected Result: interface must allow you to deal at least 2 damage to blocker and up to 8 damage to an opponent.
    Actual Result: interface dose not allow to deal less than 8 damage to blocker

    According to rules:
    702.19b The controller of an attacking creature with trample first assigns damage to the creature(s) blocking it. Once all those blocking creatures are assigned lethal damage, any excess damage is assigned as its controller chooses among those blocking creatures and the player, planeswalker, or battle the creature is attacking. When checking for assigned lethal damage, take into account damage already marked on the creature and damage from other creatures that's being assigned during the same combat damage step, but not any abilities or effects that might change the amount of damage that's actually dealt. The attacking creature's controller need not assign lethal damage to all those blocking creatures but in that case can't assign any damage to the player or planeswalker it's attacking.

14. life gain

    I play hope in brawl estheim, hope has a life tracker when on the battlefield but recently the traker is stuck at one no matter how much life is gained, it is also at 1 if no life is gained during that turn. The effect still works and mills the correct amount cards.

    • play hope on first with no life that turn or check the card in the commander spot, all will show 1 if no life has been gained
    • playing on pc
    • just a visual indicator of how much life was gain always shows 1
    • the indicator will increase based on how much life is gained

15. Lost 1 life randomly causing a game loss?

    Check the logs attached.
    I was on one life playing FF7 Limited. there was no reason for me to lose it, but I did randomly on draw step.

    To make things more aggrovating, I drew a Balamb T-Rex, gain 3 life creature spell. :(

    I check the exisiting battlefield for draw life loss triggers or literally anything will would kill me, but to no avail. :(

    Could I please request a free draft token to make up for it?

16. Repulsive Mutation not acting as a counterspell

    Repulsive Mutation is not countering spells. It acts like you can only activate the first part of the x spell with adding counters and doesn't check to let you counter a spell.

17. Red aggro decks are broken and the shuffler cheats FOR them!

    Play test Red Aggro against any other deck and see if it is fun, or fair. I can guarantee it's not in either case. Check the deck shuffler against them and see if you get the key idea cards you need, you won't. I Had 1/6th what i needed in deck, after 40 cards i got 1. Not a single 1 drop across 3 ranked games! If you just want Red Aggro to win, then just eliminate the other colors. I mean there is NO point. Red has always been easy, and sometimes competitive, but it's broken completely right now. I was going to drop real money on this for the new card set, but forget about it now. It's no fun AT ALL! (STANDARD Ranked)

18. Too many copies in brawl.....

    When building a mono black brawl deck, I attempted to add 12 shadowbourne apostles, when trying to save I get the error of too many copies of card in deck. Double checked and there was no other copies of anything else, removing the apostles fixed the problem

19. Roping

    Username WIN is a time-wasting, stalling, roper. He roped me every single turn of the game. I don't know exactly when the game started, but I'm guessing that the game had already been going on for about 10 minutes when I checked my time at 1:32 pm, and I started taking screenshots from 1:35 pm to 2:06 pm as shown on the metadata from the screenshots. The game ended at 2:12 pm. I roped him back to show him how it feels, but I never let my bar get low enough to use a timeout as you can see from the screenshots - from the screenshot at 1:35, I had 2 bars while he had 0, and from the screenshot at 2:06, I had 4 bars while he had 0. This one single game took about 50 minutes to complete, and he's obviously doing this to every single person that he faces. This user must be banned.

20. Premier Draft Win/Lose Bug

    I was playing on my desktop (Win 10), and I played 5 games with 4 wins and 1 loss in total. But I suddenly found that my draft result was 4 wins with 2 losses. This display bug frustrated me, cause if I didn't notice that and kept playing, only one more loss would end this draft, which was supposed to be two. The records of 17 lands that I attached prove that I only played 5 games and I won 4 of them, which made the "4 wins with 2 loses" result in MTGA ridiculous. This would cause me to lose potentially more rewards than I could have. And I don't know whether this happened before, maybe I didn't realize.

    So,

    The achieved result: one loss in the event that came out of nowhere.
    I expect the bug to be fixed, and the loss to be rectified. Moreover, I hope the staff can check the past game records of my account to see if this severe bug has ever happened in the past, and give me appropriate gem compensation.
