1. Recurring sideboarding UI corruption on macOS – unable to sideboard

   I am reporting a recurring MTG Arena client bug that prevented me from using the sideboard during a match.

   The issue occurred on September 3, 2026, at approximately 8:44 PM CEST, while playing on macOS through Steam. I previously experienced and reported the same type of problem on August 29, 2026.

   When the sideboarding phase began, the normal sideboard interface did not load correctly. Instead, unrelated deck-building, filter, cosmetic, pet, and profile interface elements appeared on the screen. The actual sideboard was inaccessible, so I could not make the necessary changes before the timer expired.

   The attached log provides direct technical evidence of the failure. During the initialization of the sideboarding interface, it records the following call sequence:

   SideboardInterface.InitializeDeckBuilder
   SubmitDeckWorkflow.ApplyInteractionInternal

   At that exact point, the client throws this exception:

   ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
   No Pantry found that has registered type Core.Meta.UI.SceneUITransforms.

   The associated stack trace includes CardBackSelectorPopup, DisplayItemSleeve, CosmeticSelectorController, PetCatalog, AvatarCatalog, and DeckDetailsPopup. This appears consistent with the unrelated cosmetic, pet, and profile elements displayed instead of the correct sideboarding interface.

   The log also contains more than 17,000 repeated “ArgumentOutOfRangeException: startIndex must be less than length of string” errors involving CardTypeProvider.GetObjectTypeText and other card-interface components.

   This was therefore a client-side interface failure, not a gameplay or connection issue. Because sideboarding is timed, I had no practical way to recover before the following game began, and the malfunction materially affected the match.

2. Increase deck size limit above 250 cards

   I really enjoy queuing into Historic with a 250 card deck and using tutors and other draw engines to have a tool box of cards but as more and more cards are released I am finding I can't keep run all the cards I want to even if I limit myself to singleton. My understanding is that the 250 card limit was added for performance reasons. I was hoping that another look could be taken at this and if the maximum could be increased. Even if I could just include another 15 cards for a side board it would be grealy appreciated.

   Its ability should have been removed by Oko, Thief of Crowns, but the effect continued.

4. Rigged

   How can you call this magic the gathering? This is nothing more than money-grubbing. I could have the best possible deck that I've ever drafted and go Owen three, and later draft mediocre at best and win all seven rounds. I don't think you mother f****** really understand him just how smart the players are. If your response is that the money speaks for itself, just remember that you're cheapening every other instance of this game by allowing this one to be this f***** up. In all seriousness, stop ruining my favorite game you f****** ********.

6. Missing Email Types

   I achieve Top 1200 or Top 250 almost every month. But I've stopped receiving the following emails:

   You ranked #X in Constructed!

   • Last known send was 7/31, which means I'm missing them for Aug, Sep, and Oct now.

   Puree, your X stats are here!

   • Last known send was 5/28. I'm not sure how many I should have had since.

   I have double-checked and I am enrolled in marketing emails. And they didn't go to my spam folder either.

   Possibly relevant is the fact that I had, at some point, disabled Secret Lair emails because they were too spammy. But I have re-enabled them since to see if it brings back these missing emails to no avail.

   Note that I am receiving marketing emails from magic@magic.wizards.com and secretlair@wizards.com just fine. So it's a targeted set of emails that I'm missing.

   I've contacted support and was directed to post this as a bug.

7. Killian Spotlight chaser ability

   I've been trying Killian, Spotlight chaser as a commander and his ability is not triggering as intended. Since the seeked card is discarded at my end step. Ive tried using cards like Faith of the devoted (Whenever you discard a card you may pay 1 and deal 2 damage to opponent). What Classifies as non-combat damage and should trigger his ability again seeking another card for me, although after the damage nothing happens.

8. Nashi is not updated

   In the new update they said "Since Nashi is a digital-only card, we are taking the opportunity to modify it slightly by removing the flash keyword to better balance the format." while in the game Nashi still has flash.

10. No Daily Quests or Achievement Tracking

    I just downloaded the game and created a new account using a Pixel 6 Pro. I played through the tutorial and bought the Hobbit Mastery Pass for $20. I played a few color challenges thinking I'd make some pass progress. When I looked there was no progress. I noticed there were supposed to be daily quests in the bottom left-hand part of the home screen. Mine is blank. The game has also not been tracking my achievement progress, even though I should have at least a little. I tried logging out and back in. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Used a different device (iPad) with no solution. It also seems that the little blue sparkle is stuck. It doesn't show up until I go to the "Codex of the Multiverse" page. Then it tells me "good to see you again" and that's it. But now (until I quit the game), whenever I navigate to a different page (except the home page) it appears on the right side of the screen over top of everything else. Not sure if it was supposed to explain more to me and got stuck? It never told me about quests and achievements, which I would've assumed it would.
    I would like this to either be fixed, or have my $20 refunded.

12. brawl

    there is a problem when attempting to connect with a nother player wen trying to play a brawl mach. i have made many brawl decks and I have tried on two phones one was andried and one was apple; I have also been playing on the same acount for the last 3 yeras and I have never been able to play brawl becase it will make me wait an indefinite amount of time for an opponent to join but never find one. I assume it is an acount problem seeing as I have used the same acount on two difrent phones, I also tried making a few difrent decks to see if it was the cards and i still can't find an opponent. i am sorry i cant provide you any spisific deatials on how to recreat the issue, but seeing as it is likly something rong with my profial i can proide addisonal details on my acount set up if requested to do so

13. Full Control issue with Mac

    I have played ranked and other modes today and continued to experience issues but I might have some pointers to what is happening.

    I repaired the files and at least no "auto tap or auto accept" went through since then, when I choose auto tap it still completely non sense assign the mana for the most optimal play. It wasn't great before, but it was right 80-90% of the time, now it is definitely lower.

    However, I noticed one problem the "full control" toggle isn't being recognized some times. I had multiple occasions where I would toggle full control and it would still auto resolve or auto skip phases instead of one by one or simply hold priority.
    Restarting the game etc, didn't solve the issue and it happened a few more times, but I couldn't see a "pattern" why this is happening

14. ferocity of the hunt

    couldn't play the card Ferocity of the Hunt after block are declared. The game did directly go to damage assignment, without making a pause to allow me to cast Ferocity of the Hunt. resulting in a game loss during my draft :-(.

15. Shiko, Paragon of the Way bug

    I'm experiencing a game-breaking issue with Shiko, Paragon of the Way (Tarkir: Dragonstorm), which is the commander of one of my Brawl decks.

    When Shiko's enters-the-battlefield ability resolves, the targeted card from my graveyard is exiled and copied, but the client shows “You can't play this card” and only lets me click “Done”. The copy is never cast. According to the official rulings, I should be able to cast that copy without paying its mana cost while the ability resolves.

    It happened twice in the same game, with two different card types:

    • Consider (instant)

    • Dragonstorm Globe (artifact)

    As a result, my commander's main ability does not work and the card is just exiled with no effect, which cost me the game. I have also reported it on the MTG Arena bug forum (feedback.wizards.com) with screenshots.
