How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

  1. Game crashes when opening pack, but before it can be claimed

    Game crashes when I open packs, but before I can claim the pack. I lose the earned pack (or if I purchased with gold coins those are lost), and never get the cards. This happens very routinely, several times a week. I play on a PC and launch MTG Arena from Steam. Generally, my monitor will go blank, and MTG: Arena will stop responding. Sometimes, it will hard freeze my computer all together. This is seriously ******* me off. Only happens when I play Arena.

  2. Alchemy

    After update today, 8/15/23, I can't put Kamigawa cards into my Alchemy decks because I assume there has been a rotation which is fine. However upon fixing my decks to meet the current requirements for Alchemy I have only gone against players who are still able to use the now rotated out cards like all the enchantment cards from Kamigawa as well as all the channel lands. Has happened multiple games. I gave my logs to show.

  3. Benalish Knight-Counselor French translation is wrong

    Benalish Knight-Counselor's (Chevalier-conseiller bénalian) translation in French is wrong. The counter mentioned in French is a lifelink counter instead of a +1/+1 counter.

  4. Missing Cards

    Hi there, after the latest update from day 15/08/2023, my decks are with missing cards, and none of them where before, i have all the cards in the decks, can you please correct this.

  5. Tooth and nail can't be countered with Change the Equation - MAJOR BUG

    My opponent casted Tooth and Nail (green sorcerer spell) with entwine cost and I had a Change the Equation (Counter target red or green spell with mana value 6 or less) read to counter it and it wasn't possible to cast the spell. Lost the game because of that. Need fix asap.

  6. Drannith Magistrate shows as banned in Historic Brawl in the deckbuilder even though it's not banned

    Drannith Magistrate shows as a banned card in the deck builder when building a Historic Brawl deck, but the card isn't on WotC's published banlist for the format (https://magic.wizards.com/en/banned-restricted-list).

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open the deck builder
    2. Select Historic Brawl as the format
    3. Add Drannith Magistrate the deck

  7. Throne of Eldraine unexpected pack opening behavior

    1. Give us the steps to reproduce the bug Open 2 packs for Throne of Eldraine
    2. Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS) PC
    3. Enter the actual results you’re experiencing Receive Gems reward, not expected Rare or Mythic card.
    4. Enter the expected results of the feature Expected a Rare or Mythic card when opening pack.
    5. Add any relevant screenshots/videos Currently have 221 of 276 rares and 70 or 88 Mythics collect in Throne of Eldraine. Opened 2 packs after winning 2 packs in recent draft event.

  8. Commit//Memory cast from opponents exile via Thief of Sanity causes the aftermath half Memory to be uncastable from graveyard.

    Commit//Memory cast from opponents exile via Thief of Sanity causes the aftermath half Memory to be uncastable from graveyard.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Load into a match with 1 deck containing Thief of Sanity and the other containing Commit//Memory (other aftermath cards may exhibit the same issue)
    2. Cast Thief of Sanity and attack the opponent until Commit//Memory is an option
    3. Select Commit//Memory as the exile option
    4. Cast Commit on something
    5. Observe as the owner of Commit//Memory the player is unable to cast the aftermath half of Memory from graveyard.

  9. Indestructible creature gets destroyed

    I had my Indestructible creature destroyed by a destroy target creature equal to the number of cards in graveyard. That shouldn't be destroyed when it hits it's indistructible phase. it is a destroy target creature not a untargetable destroy creature spell.

  10. The current match has ended for an unexpected reason. GreError Winner: Draw

    Close to the end of an epic battle of Explorer w/ angels vs. angels, the game stopped responding. My health was over 15000 (opponent at about 5000) I also had a “you cannot lose the game” counter one of my angels.

    When the opponents timer stopped counting down, I restarted the app (ipad) several times, as the app commonly crashes and is usually fixed by a restart. This time, however, I got the error “ The current match has ended for an unexpected reason. GreError Winner: Draw”. See attached screenshots.

  11. time walk and get your stuff together for commenting

    get rid of time walk. any 2 cost take an extra turn, that cannot be made and used by the general public... makes the game really unappealing. also fix the **** report a bug or comment section, this way, people can without a silly post. Since editing and posting is such a pain in the rear end... I might as well complain about turn 4 unlimited mana I have seen 250 mana produced turn 5 and turn 4 eight 7/6 dragons. but whatever magic has never considered a good balanced game. they obviously prefer tricky decks that win and end…

  12. not able to do anything and rope counting down

    The title says it all. During a game, I think after the turn came back to me, I could not play anything (no glowing frames around my cards and no button to advance the turn). And at some point the rope began counting down. That was very annoying. I guess the server was just full.

  13. Bug: Tarrian's Soulcleaver

    Tarrian's Soulcleaver is still bugged. I targeted the 3/2 flier with 2 damage, but the equipment granted the counter instead of allowing the marked damage to destroy the creature. Lost me the game I was almost definitely going to win, ending my event.

  14. Draft deck

    On Android device, Samsung Fold 4, During the Caverns quick draft, the game freezes when you attempt to change the card sleeve from default to the sleeves selection page. I've been able to reproduce it sever times. The picture attached is the spot where it has frozen each time. Once the deck is built and saved, you can change the sleeve.

  16. Sparky Lesson on Sportsmanship

    It seems like there is a increasing number in players roping timer, griefing opponents and overall bad behavior. Can you maybe have Sparky teach the lessons the parents failed to? For instance if you want others to play treat them with the same respect you want, players don't have a choice on pairings and are not picking you as a opponent so no need to be offended that they are playing against a "god" in their mind and need to be punished for even trying.

  17. How to know triggers go on mobile

    I think you must add something to know what the cards or abilities are targeting, in some cases there is a battle of leyline binding but i cant know what is targeting what, so... whats up? I missclick because I have to guess what I want to target then I lose... please fix this. All of these on mtgarena mobile

  18. Product suggestion

    Too many players that are too slow in playing dragging out matches as well as playing annoying agro decks, usually one and the same, create a queue for three or more colours with a reduced timer so these type of players will not have to be played, they can play against their friends and annoy them instead

    Warum läuft MEINE Zündschnur ab, während eines Zug des Gegners, bei dem seine Combo mit dem 'Schildkäferschwarm' aus dem Ruder läuft? - Bisher konnte ich schon manchen Sieg erringen, weil der Gegner wegen Zeitüberschreitung verlor.

  20. Known cards in hand are different and appear twice

    During lci quick draft, with the explore mechanic it’s not uncommon to have many cards in the opponents hand known. However when I thought my opponent had a cosmium blast it turned into an unstable glyph bridge. It’s very hard to play around cards not known in your opponents hands. It’s even harder to play around cards you should know they have but they’re completely different. This caused me to lose my game. It also looks like they play lands from the top of the deck. Also the cosmium blast at times appears as a duplicate.
