1. Bug login

   Bug Description:

   I am constantly getting the error “Error updating data. Please check your connection and try again.” when trying to log in on PC.

   This issue happens every time I open the game on my computer. I have already tried the following steps:

   Restarted the game

   Updated the app

   Uninstalled and reinstalled the game

   None of these actions solved the problem. My internet connection is working normally.
   Important: I can log in and play normally on mobile (phone) using the same account and the same internet connection. The issue only happens on PC.

   Because of this error, I am unable to access or update the game on PC.

2. Some cards are hard to read in the powered cube, because they use obscure prints

   The card arts chosen for some of the cards in powered cube are really hard to read. I'm talking especially about the Breaking News prosperity showcase arts that you use for e.g. Mana Drain and Pest Infestation. Fractured Identity too. The card art is so busy and cluttered it strains my eyes to read it, and the font is so stylized it barely registers as English text.

   Yes, I know that if you hover over the card, it will show properly legible text. But this is an arena draft, where you have very limited time to look at the cards. You need to be able to rapidly recognize them by just looking at them in order to have time to make a decision. If I have to spend 3-5 seconds trying to figure out the card I'm looking at, then I get really screwed toward the end of a pack, when you only have like 5 seconds to make a pick.

   I don't know if there is some motivation behind using these arts, like maybe you automatically use the most recently printed version that exists on Arena, or maybe whoever assembled the cube just picked these versions because they liked them. I don't think these card arts look good, and it's common to see people complain about it on YouTube (for example LSV complained about it in a video of his own draft, and it was clear he almost failed to pick a Mana Drain because he didn't recognize it at first).

   I think for draft/sealed events, you should have a policy of always using the most legible, standard version of the card. And there should not be cards in Arena that only exist in these highly illegible, weird looking special arts. This is the case with some cards, like some of the “borderless source material cards” from TLE. There is no standard version of the card, and I hate to say it but these cards are extremely ugly and often hard to read. Thankfully they aren't used in the powered cube, but I thought I'd point it out that it's a bad situation where you want to use a card in your deck, but the only print available is a barely legible 720p screenshot from an old TV show.

   This is the case with multiple cards I think, but I remember this happening to me with Valakut. Like, can't you just scan in the normal version of Valakut? Even the Expedition version would be fine. Attached is an image of the only version of the card available on Arena. It's not the ugliest source material card, but it's one you're basically forced to use if you want to play a red landfall deck in Brawl. You'd be handicapping yourself by not playing it. But it's just so ugly and blurry! It looks like it's been badly upscaled or something. I guess Nickelodeon/Paramount didn't have the high res mattes, so these cards are screenshots from a low res, highly compressed video. I don't expect these card arts to be fixed, but it would be nice if the standard versions of these cards were available.

   But draft is where being able to quickly recognize a card really matters. Using an obscure, illegible card art creates “feels bad” moments where you run out of time or make a bad pick. It gives certain players (e.g. players with dyslexia, or players who can't use input devices to aim at and hover a card very quickly) a disadvantage when they otherwise would have a fair chance. They're not necessarily bad at Magic - the game doesn't normally present any challenges for their difficulties/disabilities. But using these weird prints makes it so now the game does pose a challenge that puts them at a disadvantage, and one that isn't really related to what we consider the core of the game.

3. Game lagging/freezing both on Android and Mac

   Since today (28th Jan 2026, 12:00 GMT), when I login, my first interface works well and smoothly, but as soon as I try to access either my decks, store, play menu, everything starts lagging incredibly and freezing.
   I tried on both my Macbook M4 pro (fully updated) as well as on my Android, and the issue persists. I also tried to change my connection from wifi to phone, and still no solution.
   Please help, thanks!

4. Graphical issue

   Graphical issue started yesterday (15th of January) which makes me suspect it is related to the new set coming out.

   1)
   It is constant, if it appears.
   And it has now started to happen mid match (previously I only had the issue either at the start of the game, which made me concede immediately as I was unable to see what cards I had on hand), making it impossible to know if I can finish a game at all.
   It affects deck's, collection, store and interfaces.

   2)
   I am on PC - Steam.

   3)
   It makes it neigh impossible to play the game.
   4)
   To have it fixed? I don't get this step at all...

   It used to be that I could restart the game and I might be able to get a game or two before it reappeard. But no after it started midgame I have not even been able to do that.

5. Haliya, Guided by Light doesn't allow you to play the card she draws.

   When I have no cards I can cast and no abilities to activate, and I have Haliya, Guided by Light on the field, and her 3/3 life gained ability activates (which says at the BEGINNING of the end step) and I draw a card. However the system automatically passes the turn and I'm unable to play or cast the card that I drew, even if I meet the requirements to cast it (still have untapped lands, etc.). This has happened to me during multiple sessions, I play on a Windows 11 PC. I should be able to cast the card that I drew.

6. Product suggestion

   Im a semi-casual player and I use Arena to learn the stack. Ive played quite a bit of standard. Ive noticed at my local stores (we have a bunch) its just about all commander/prerelease/occasional draft. And after playing standard in Arena I can see why. I want to sit down and enjoy a game of magic. I want to experience interaction and have an in-depth game of card chess. But standard lately is just - did you go first - did you get your badgermoles or Khonas out - win by turn 3 unless im lucky enough to get removal that affects more than 1 target by my turn 2.

   My suggestion is for standard to only allow 2 copies of each card in a deck. This way, the turn 3 win combos are less reliable, and you need to actually sit down and play a game. Magic is a lot more fun when it's less of a race to turn 3, and more of a battle of wits.

   My other suggestion is achievement awards in tournaments. To compare it to Bloodbowl, we have not just first/second/third, but also Most Touchdowns, Mast Casualties, etc. Maybe to stop folks from scooping if they dont win round 1, you offer other things they can still try to win if they stick around to play. Like maybe, a Most Life award where they get an award if in all matches, their combined life total was the highest? Or most X counters award. Youd have to track it and get your opp to sign off on it or something. But well, there it is.

   As someone who has watched Avatar, I never thought I would hate badgermoles as much as I do now. lol

7. Unlock Card Styles from Printings

   I'm one of those sickos who likes playing with mismatched cards, and a feature I wish had been in the collection update is the option to mix and match styles, rather than having a style be locked to a specific printing of a card. Right now, there are two printings of each shock land on Arena, and numerous excellent styles, most of which are locked to the Guilds of Ravnica block printing and as such are mutually exclusive. I can't use the old border from the recent holiday sale in the same deck as the clue version or the planet version. I know this is a low priority fix that will only appease a small number of folks, and I can understand if it's more work than it would be worth, but I'd appreciate this feature.

8. Not a bug but a suggestion for either secret lair or mtg arena.

   Styx masters of shadows, shards of darkness and blades of glory. Also any Styx games beforehand from when Styx became who he is today. I think he would be a great asset to magic the gathering arena. Not so much for secret lair because I can’t afford that but atleast Magic the gathering arena although having secret lair copies would also be very cool.

   I love Styx he is my favourite goblin spectre and is one of the most desirable of creations I’ve ever played. If he were to ever drop in magic the gathering I would buy this deck and the entirety immediately. I went onto google to basically break down what he would be like as a card and his unique different kinds of cards for multiple style goblin decks there is. He would be a valuable asset and make a comeback for goblins allowing them to explore in multiple play styles. Please take what I say into consideration and read it atleast so I can atleast hear your feedback on this epic suggestion.

9. Can't play Combo Decks due to Timeout

   I played Scapeshift Combo in Pioneer and my opponent got rid of Thassa's Oracle, so I had to mill him with Ipnu Rivulet, which takes for Eternity. Unfortunatly, my timer ran off and I lost, which had to be a win

10. Tedious monocolor matchmaking in Hitoric Play

    Last two months matchmaking in Historic Play is absolute pain. 90% of decks I am matched against are mono. I myself am iusing a wide variety of dual colored decks.

    I attempted install and it installs, but will not fully open. It immediately crashes before displaying anything. I can select icon and it begins to zoom into app like a transition to fullscreen, but crashes before any images.

12. Display Entry Cost in Event Selection Menu

    Please display the entry cost in the event selection menu.

    I don't have the entry cost of each event memorized. When I click on an event to see what the entry cost is and then hit the "return" button I'm no longer on the same menu. This means that I have to dive through multiple menues to determine the cost of each event. This could be simplified for users by adding the cost in the corner of the image so users don't have to click into the event to see the cost.

13. Asuza's Many Journeys not providing extra land

    I was playing Asuza brawl deck. Opponent didn't have any effects that affect land playing or entering, since I had played multiple lands on my turn already (at least 3). When I went to play Asuza's Many Journeys, the effect "you may play an additional land" simply didn't happen. I couldn't play an additional land after that. I don't know what caused it, and sadly I didn't take an screenshot. There didn't seem to be any enchantment/aura blocking effects on the battlefield.

    Some cards I had on the table that could've caused the issue:
    Brood Astronomer (maybe the land card counts as played?)
    Ashaya, Soul of the Wild (creatures are lands, so maybe that increased the played land count)
    Titania, Gaea Incarnate (maybe the meld with Ashaya counts as a played land)
    I had also scapeshifted for total of 13 lands and creature-lands.

14. thought partition

    By being a bit stupid I selected Slickshot show-off with thought partition, since he could then just cast it by using 'plot' anyway. However, in this case he were able to cast it just directly with two mana even without using plot at all, this seems unintended. I could the that the mana cost was changed to 5 colorless before.

    He played "Swiftspear's teachings" before it happened, uncertain if it had an effect

    Since it is quite dumb to select plot-cards with partition maybe it is not much of an issue, but just informing.

16. Many cards bug

    I'm playing mtg on brawl on my phone app and whenever I draw a ton of cards or when I get access to all the cards in my graveyard I can't see my whole hand. In this picture of the game I have the win in my hand and I can't cast it because I can't access it or see it when my hand is actived. I had access to my large graveyard so it was displaying that and the 1 card in hand Laboratory Maniac. I would have won the game but I couldn't cast it or see it when my hand was active. I wish when you get a large hand or access that many cards it had an option to look through them as if you were searching you deck. Love the game but that glitch can be very annoying 😑 😒

17. Insane degeneration of this horrible game

    I'm just gonna keep talking about it because it's so stupid. Used to be that it would alternate days, one day it would be terrible matches, maybe one or two wins, every other game is gonna be a creatively sadistic match and card draws, a bummer but slightly more tolerable because the next day it would be better. Now.... now it's every day. Every day mostly losses, and all games that I, no matter how I play the hand, have any chance of winning. Long streaks of losing these types of games, I'll give them credit for the creativity in generating losses, but it makes no difference what deck I play or how I play. They've got themselves a mandate, everything on rails, this is exactly how many games each player will win or lose and how, basically the illusion of choice. Again, I'll ask, why and how does this equate to success?

18. ADD CHAT TO THE GAME TO CURSE ON LAME PLAYERS PLAYING SAME OLD BORING O.P. DECKS

    Trying to enjoy MTG Arena but it is impossible.
    Out of 10 Brawl games tonight 4 were against Vivi Ornitier, 3 against Maralen, Fae Ascendant and 3 against Heliod, Sun-Crowned

    Literally the most boring, OP, repetition of sad players all playing the same decks using ZERO amount of their own creativity

    Please add a CHAT function so I can call those players out for what they are.

    Games are decided before turn 4 or 5.
    Seriously, who enjoys this **** any longer?

    Opponents ALWAYS seem to get PERFECT hands and their mega combos start rolling from turn 2.

    The boring powercreep is insane and this **** needs to be called out to those player's faces.
    No excuses

    Also MTG needs a complete reset or rework or this game is gonna be dead real soon with only autists left playing it.

    Trying to enjoy MTG Arena but it is impossible.
    Out of 10 Brawl games tonight 4 were against Vivi Ornitier, 3 against Maralen, Fae Ascendant and 3 against Heliod, Sun-Crowned

    Literally the most boring, OP, repetition of sad players all playing the same decks using ZERO amount of their own creativity

    Please add a CHAT function so I can call those players out for what they are.

19. Timeout

    Remove timeout countdown during automatic stax

    When some stax are resolving, like card draw or anything else that doesn't require the player to take action, the timeout counter shouldn't be active. The app is very slow so when there are a lot of automated stax that are taking a long time to resolve and the time it takes is not a result of the player taking action, thinking, or just not going faster, it would be nice if the timeout counter wasn't actively removing time.

    I just played a game where neither myself or the other player got to attack or play all the cards we could have played because of this. I personally had to discard my omniscience along with the other 15 cards I drew and didn't get to play more than 1-2 cards on the turn and no attacks. A small portion of my timer was used during stacks I had to make a selection on. The majority of time was waiting for card draw stax to resolve.

20. Chain Lightning double Cast

    Playing the arena powered cube on PC. My opponent cast chain lightning targeting me. I took 3 damage and I said yes to the copy ability of chain lightning, it then asked me to select a target, I then hit the cancel button (cause I was going to die if I copied the spell), and it put another copy of chain lightning on the stack targeting me rather then cancelling the copying of the spell.
