issues with the game for new/ old players
There are a ton of issues that are effecting new players and old players that dont have time for best of 3. First is the hand smoothing garbage, it is rally bad as since it has been brought in the shuffler wins more then the players do when playing a crafted deck. It has been about a month at 30 mins a day since I had a game where I didn't have to mulligan twice. And even after the mulligan more often then not its either all lands or no lands. Last 3 games were 17 card land run, 14…

impending is not a creature
if the impending ability specifically states that it's not a creature while it has any time counters on it, why is it that it gains the benefits of when you cast your next creature spell put a +1/+1 counter on it? Does Impending count as a creature or not? If not then why does it get counters ? And if it does why can't it be countered by counter target creature spell? You guys really need to get your act together, instead of worrying so much about trying to rope in new whiney players that wont stay when you have…

Cheaters
Game is full of cheaters using tools to manipulate draws/hands/decks. There’s absolutely no reason a 200 card deck gives the person everything they need. There’s absolutely no way every piece of removal someone needs gets into their hand. It’s very obvious when they cheat too, they look at hand, look at nothing, look back at hand, then nothing, and suddenly have a spell to cast. You don’t want us seeing game logs because then you know we could determine more easily who’s cheating and who isn’t. You don’t have a real way to handle cheaters, so you just brush it…

Stats prove Arena is a joke.
There are so many things it's tough to know where to start.
- Roping is out of control. Get roped constantly when opponent has to mulligan or the game isn't going their way.
- Algorithm is terrible. Why do we have to play the same 3 decks constantly?
- Randomness of shuffler is unrealistic at best.
- Lands? It's either too many or none.
I personally believe there is coding to benefit some over others. Say people that spend lots of money over those that don't. I have actually been taking notes with a friend. Two different accounts playing the exact same decks. One…

Thunderbond vanguard and user bans
Please remove or ban thunderbond vanguard. It’s absolutely busted and makes the game completely unfair. Every game vs white is dumb because they’re going to play this three mana, oh look I went from nothing to swinging for over 100 damage, win the game out of nowhere card.
Another suggestion, is enable users to ban one or two cards in the format. So essentially users pick a card and the matchmaker will not matchmake you against decks with the chosen card. Then MTG arena admins can look at the statistics of what cards the majority of players hate as a…

Fix Arena
Fix Arena - The arena is ....... there are no words to describe the absolute dumpster fire of manipulated gameplay that arena is - I guess since WOTC doesn't really care about the quality of the gameplay, just that they few people who actually spend real money on pixel worthless products, keeps the cash flowing. The is no ingame economy, they matches are so badly manipulated to ensure as close to a 50% win rates as possible to keep the snowflakes happy and spending money to try to become the next "pro gamer", the shuffler seems to have had a…

Title: MTG Arena is Killing the Game We Love
I’ve played Magic: The Gathering for 18 years. I’ve put in thousands of hours and spent more money than I want to admit. Arena is the only way I can play now, and it feels like Wizards is using that against us.
Let’s just be honest. MTG Arena isn’t built to reward skill or time. It’s built to squeeze your wallet.
The economy is trash. You need 20 or more rares and a stack of mythics just to build one real deck. Want to try something new? Too bad. No trading. No dust system. No refunds. Just keep buying packs…

your mistake is confusing randomness with realism.
Your response, assuring me that the algorithms are “working as intended,” only reinforces my concern—not relieves it. If this is the intended behavior, then the design itself is the problem. The company's stated goal is to simulate “true randomness,” but the mistake here is confusing randomness with realism. Magic: The Gathering is not a purely random game—it’s a game of tuned variance and controlled chaos. Real-world shuffling, while imperfect, produces gameplay that feels consistent, engaging, and skill-rewarding. Your system, on the other hand, produces hands and draw sequences so far outside of statistical expectation that it actively punishes strategic deckbuilding…

all things broken
Having been around since the birth of MTG, you guys need to pull your heads out of your own arses , because you are repeating the mistakes of the past. I get wanting to want a big profit margin but the way things are headed you are going to put yourselves out of a job. The power creep and catering to the little whiners that think the win is more then the game is going to help temporarily, but is going to do more damage then good in the long run. What has already happened was MTG did this exact…
