How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

 

Examples of product suggestions: Feedback on visual effects, recommendations for user interface improvements, new feature requests

  1. Rigged

    WOTC needs to fix their match pairing, I could build a brand new list that I just crafted, and get paired against an anti list that will win every game. No matter the scheme I choose this happens. It’s obvious the shuffler is designed to create “interesting” game swings, and the match pairings favor anyone streaming to an audience. This is clearly game manipulation and when there is money on the line for tournaments, that is the epitome of illegal.

  2. Land ***** is a pain, fix or give back gems if we can prove we got mana screwed!

    There should be an option to submit that you lost because you drew 8 lands in a row in a game that is supposedly a great random shuffler...all lies! You need to fix this, this isn't fun and it is a waste of gems. Give back the gems!

  3. Land ***** is a real problem

    Your shuffler is biased and broken. If I hav e no lands in play, I draw no lands. If I have 18 lands in play, I will 10 more straight...and I only have 5 lands in the deck....soooo...not sure how that's happening...but yeah, it is a problem and needs to be fixed....

  4. Land ***** is really annoying, can we fix that? Maybe put in an automatic fetch a land each turn?

    Can you put in a 'fetch a land each turn' mechanic? Would really help to combat how bad the shuffler is at giving land. It either droughts you at the start, or floods you when you have no cards in hand...it is really bad.

  5. Got mana flooded at a key moment, this needs to be fixed please!

    Got mana flooded in draft at a key moment, while my opponent continued to draw gas. I drew multiple lands in a row with no cards in hand, where my opponent continued to draw value every turn. Either he was hacking or your shuffler is broken. Please fix!!

  6. Make your games fair.

    I have played paper magic from back in the early 2000s and I have to say Arena is the worst piece of capitalistic trash for a game like this ever. Good job. How you blatantly cheat with your shuffler and get away with it is disgusting. Thanks for ruining a game for me.

  7. Algorithm Improvement

    I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.

    But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile…

    stop cheating
    Stop forcing the game to cheat and rig the shuffler just because you want some fat neckbeard cuck to play and dump his wallet into this steaming pile of *. I hope your CEO goes to prison and all the employees and fat **** pumping money into this game all die broke with cancer.

  9. Algorithmic interference

    Remove the hand smoothing, randomize the shuffler. Barring that, people should be able to see what’s going on under the hood so they can determine if it’s actually worth spending time and money on the product.

  10. rng is bugged

    I keep running up against archetypes that consistently run the same cards most of the games I play against them with no mulligans in best of 3.

    This implies the RNG is broken and needs to be fixed so that the shuffler is actually as close to random as possible instead of you having an algorithm that rigs games against me.

  11. shuffle

    Shuffler needs to be better randomized. I can't tell you how many times, since today's maintenance, that after 12+ cards half of them are land cards. Especially considering I only have 18 in my deck. One game I literally had 15 lands in my first 20 cards!!! How is that possible with 18 lands? How is it possible that the game actually lasted that long? (well, that's a known... the deck I was playing against sucked).

    There HAS to be a better randomizing program out there. This stuff happens far, far too often to be 'normal'.

  12. random disconnects

    had a few random disconnects in the middle of the game, and when I finally get reconnected any progress on dailies is gone. You really should fix the bugs and the shuffler then you wouldn't have to start down a path to kill your game.

  13. Use realistic Shuffler that actually mimics human shuffling methods. not a soul on earth can truly randomize their deck.

    Like the title says, upgrade the software to more realistically mimic REAL LIFE MAGIC.
    it's pretty simple really, no human on earth can "true randomize" their deck, so why is it used on MTGA?
    Also it's pretty scummy that you guys punish players for not being new.

    Say you're new to magic= 6x jump in tokens and a quick draft token
    Say you're a loyal customer that knows how to play magic= Nothing at all.

    Why does everything need to rotate also? is there a decent reason we can't ALWAYS have a cube draft?

  14. First of all, the entire process of trying to submit feedback is very dehumanizing.

    Think I just spent the last amount of money on MTG that I ever will after paying 20$ for sealed on Arena, only to get draughted by the shuffler 3 games in a row. Super funny meme, enjoy your money, greed lords, hope it's worth it.

  15. issues withgame

    Is i intentional interference on your part or is i the shuffler is so broken that it should be revamped? Just played 3 games first game was 18 card land run, second game was 16 card land run, third game was 22 turns and only 1 land. So is it you are directly interfering in the out comes of games or is i your shuffler that is the issue? Just to be frank you do realize that hand smoothing could be argued that it changes the aspect of the game o such a degree that the ToS law suit clause…

  16. Waste of time

    Do you know how many games I've lost due to your ******** shuffler?

    How in the ******* world am I given multiple, consecutive unplayable hands in 4 ******* consectuive games?! How am I stuck on two lands EVERY ******* game with 25 LANDS, only to watch decks with 20 play on curve.

    You all are disgusting for putting this product out and taking people's money to use it.

  17. Seven Lands Are Forced!

    Regardless of how many lands you have in your deck, the shuffler just decides that you'll either draw 2 lands for the whole game or you're drawing 7-10 within your top 15 cards. How is this not broken? You're literally breaking a core part of the gameplay: deck building. Arena is such a joke now.

  18. Bugs get buried under general player gripes due to bugs & feedback being handled as a popularity contest

    Gameplay bugs/issues need to be recorded independently from general feedback for application improvement. In the first place, voting for what to work on is ridiculous - you're not children; manage your own workflows and don't just outsource it to your player base.

    Secondly, by storing these together gameplay bugs are forced to compete against UI improvements, which is nonsense. You're a mature, out-of-beta application. Fix your bugs! "I was issued a game loss due to a bug" shouldn't be competing (and losing by thousands of votes) against "something something shuffler algorithm." These are two totally separate concerns and the former…

  19. lands mulligan/draw

    Playing friendly brawl with a friend, encountered a bug where in 3 separate games, I drew only lands on all 24 starting hands/mulligans. I played one for a few turns where I mulliganed to zero, and only drew lands for those turns. Doublechecked, and my deck does have nonland cards (60 in fact). Not complaining about the shuffler, this should be statistically impossible. Think it might be a bug. Attaching two of the game logs as well.

  20. Landlock Cheaters

    Experiencing game hackers in 3-match Brawl. Was playing a player named EVINKING. He ceded first match before even playing a card, then had every card for quick win second match, finally 3rd match I added cards to deck from sideboard for offset and was landlocked for 5+ turns. Upon game concluding I was kicked from the MTG server. I started recording game. Some players are using deck shuffler hacks such as Landlock.
