How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

  1. Unity UI / text rendering crash during gameplay.

    While on my own turn and with the timer running, I was unable to select a target for a spell.

    ++ Since the latest update, MTG Arena has been experiencing multiple crashes and frequent severe lag, including roughly a 50% drop in frame rate. These performance issues persist until the client is restarted.

    I have already completely reinstalled MTG Arena, but this did not resolve the problem.

    Please see the attached log, which shows a Unity UI / text rendering crash.

  2. Unity UI / text rendering crash during gameplay.

    While on my own turn and with the timer running, I was unable to select a target for a spell.

  3. Tazri Beacon of Unity

    Tazri Beacon of Hope Softlock causing losses.

    Currently on a PC, having purchased the game through epic games.

    Have had 2 sperate instances of this happening

    When you go to activate his ability, as others have said, 5 mana opptions come up, when there should be only one.
    The game then is essentially waiting for you to make a selection, normally this would be either the colored mana or 2 of any color, for each slot.
    Since the 5th slot is empty, it is still waiting for a selection, but none are able to be made, as its an empty…

  4. Ramos, dragon engine does not combo with leyline of the guildpact

    Ramos, dragon engine does not combo with leyline of the guildpact and also does not recognize color identity of cards with activated abilities that contain more colors than the mana cost. Just built a deck around Ramos and it will not recognize the synergy I’ve built in

  5. Paradox engine still not banned in Brawl?

    Still waiting for one of the most unfun, unenjoyable cards ever to be banned. I press play to play the game, not watch someone play solitaire.

  6. First strike and double strike isnt functioning

    My opponent had a Wurmcoil Engine and blocked my creature equipped with the sword of vengeance. My creature died even though the wurmcoil engine didn't have first strike and took enough damage to kill it. Fix this.

  8. Excessive ETB triggers from Doppelgang should not result in a draw for the caster

    I copied 4 permanents with Dopplegang, Resplendent Angel, Fiendish Panda, Case of the Uneaten Feast and Felidar Retreat. The lifegain from Case and the resulting +1/+1 counters for the Panda caused what seemed like hundreds of effects to go to the stack on my side. I checked resolve all and sat there while the game engine did it's thing. At a certain point I got a warning that I needed to take a different action or the game would result in a draw, which is what ultimately happened. This seems unfair and is punishing for the player who casts Doppelgang.…

  9. Loop detector

    When we play in person, we can demonstrate a loop and specify how many times we want to repeat that loop. I love building durdly decks or decks that combo off and I can't really play them on Arena without timing out. As a seasoned software engineer, I think this would be feasible in the Arena game engine with little overhead. I envision a tracker that looks for loops and when it notices one occuring a number of times over some threshold, asks the user how many more times they would like to repeat the loop ( 0 or…

  10. Exert Does Not Work!!!

    I am sick of losing games ON RANKED because the game engine does not work. When attacking with a creature with exert, specifically when pressing "Attack All," exert does not trigger! This has caused me to lose games unfairly, ones that I would've won otherwise.

  12. Why are commander ban cards in brawl

    Why are commander banned cards in brawl on arena. Paradox engine, levold and primeval titan was banned because they’re to oppressive. So what makes these banned cards not oppressive in brawl? If anything they’re more because there is less people to deal with the problem. Also, are y’all ever going to come out with a brawl where we don’t have to play against these magic rules breaking arena only cards? Most of the arena only cards break fundamental mtg rules on several notes. A lot of us hate playing against these rule breakers.

  13. MTGA.exe is not responding during Win11 PC PickTwoDraft

    During a PickTwoDraft, on PC, Win11, the game crashed multiple times, and after I reopened it, the turn already advanced and I lost the game and ranking. "MTGA.exe is not responding" appeared several times, and "MTGA - Unity 2022.3.62f2_7670c08855a9" appeared once. I don't think I can give the steps to reproduce the bug. Just play until it crashes. Is there any way to determine why it crashed?
    I also can't submit this message with the 3.1 MB .log and the 2.8 MB png or 0.3 MB jpg. This page says "Sorry, we couldn't submit your request."

  14. mana doesn't add up

    i didn't notice this until i conceded and examined all cards in exile and graveyard, but kavaeros, mind bitten has a casting cost of 6 black, cast on turn 3, standard format, no cards that add mana, no enchantments on the field, and look at the turn 5 land on his board....when the spell was cast its mana cost said 2 colorless 1 black... I believe this was accomplished using Cheat Engine app. as i have seen similar things in other games displayed on youtube. or some similar app.

  15. Arachnogenesis vs. Earthbend interaction

    Platform: macOS
    Format: 100-Card Brawl

    Description of Bug:
    I cast "Arachnogenesis" during the Declare Blockers step. The spell resolved and successfully created Spider tokens, but it FAILED to prevent combat damage from the opponent's non-Spider creatures.

    The opponent was attacking with "Ghalta, Primal Hunger" (modified by "The Earth Crystal" and "Blanchwood Armor") and "Toph, Earthbending Master".

    Rules Confirmation:
    - There were NO "Questing Beast" effects on the battlefield.
    - There were NO "Damage can't be prevented" spells (like Stomp/Bonecrusher Giant) in the Graveyard, Exile, or Adventure Zone.
    - The attackers were not Spiders.

  16. Audio starvation freeze on Proton

    Platform: Steam (Linux, Ubuntu 24, Proton)
    Game version: 2026.57.20.11631
    Wwise SDK version: 2023.1.14 Build 8770

    Summary:
    MTGA freezes randomly during matches after 5–10 minutes of gameplay. The game window becomes unresponsive but the desktop remains fully usable. The game process must be killed manually to recover.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Launch MTGA via Steam on Linux (tested with Proton Experimental, Proton 9.0-4, and GE-Proton)
    2. Enter any match
    3. Play for 5–10 minutes
    4. Game window freezes — no crash dialog, no error message

    There are a lot of posts stating that there is an issue when token doubling causes an exceptional amount of stack triggers.

    I have a proposed solution in your coding:

    You should treat any trigger that is
    -a duplicate
    -repeated more than 10 times in a row with no interceding trigger
    -stacks on top of such a trigger
    -the 250 token limit has been reached

    Then, ask each player in succession of priority whether they want to break the "infinite loop triggers", acting as if they are infinite.

    When I have an artifact in play, it will not let me Meek Attack out Daretti from my hand. I'm pretty sure a creature that has a * for it's power or toughness is considered 0 while in your hand. This was an official ruling I received when asking a judge. Please fix.

    "Yu Gi Oh" duel master card game/tv show is basically the same game as Magic. More simplified but the same. Will Wizards of the Coast make a "Arena" digital game just like magic for YU GI OH.
