How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

    Got to love how the guy always seems to have the perfect spell as his last card in his hand. That wins him the game. You know he can't just have some other spell that doesn't kill my f****** creature. That's protecting me from dying now. Of course he's got the absolute perfect spell to kill my guy so he can win the game. No problem and it happens like 75% of the **** games this is happening.   2. Allow toggling off alternate art styles

    Magic is a complex game that taxes working memory heavily. This is compounded by complicated art styles that don’t match the printed cards, especially so when the art is “out of universe” like final fantasy etc. we rely on mental shortcuts like art to quickly identify cards. In my screenshot you can see art for “battle at the big bridge”, which isn’t a magic card. Making it worse is the poor accessibility and readability of the text, especially on mobile.   3. Lion’s Eye Diamond interface

    The interaction between Lion’s Eye Diamond and what seems to be the “logic” of the client is entirely off. The client makes the assumption that the player would never want to discard their hand, and therefore doesn’t recognize that the ability to activate the card’s ability exists in situations like paying additional costs (things like Mana Leak, Daze, Spell Pierce, etc) nor does it recognize that there may be an advantage to discarding your hand (Echo of Eons).   4. Card Style Design

    Readability should be a focus for Magic. Be that MTGA or paper Magic. I shouldnt have to struggle when trying to read a card. Players remember different things about a card. I don’t remember card names. P/T, mana cost, type, colour are more how I identify a card. That also there should be a common language for players to see the legal card (if there is an alt name, make the legal name appear in the same way every time).

  5. Chain Veil does not add activations correctly for new planewalkers when activated only once

    There is a bug with the chain veil where the activations are not tracked correctly for new planewalker. I am playing a deck in historic with karn the greator creator and kiora.
    If I activate chain veil 3 times the expected behavior is a new kiora can activate her ability 4 times. The reality is the new kiora can only activate once.
    The bug seems to be that the chain veil only affects planewalkers in play by giving them extra activations when it should be a games rule modification affecting existing + new planewalkser. This limits the combo lines you…

    I was playing Quick Draft Lorwyn Eclipsed. A few turns into a match the following happened.

    During my opponent's first main phase, they cast Sunderflock. With Sunderflock's enter the battlefield trigger still on the stack, I tapped Tam, Mindful First Year to use its ability on my Mischievous Sneakling. The Mischievous Sneakling changed to all colors. Sunderflock's trigger resolved returning my Luminollusk and my Tam, Mindful First Year to my hand. The game progressed to the end of turn.   7. Game randomly stops accepting my input

    When playing(mobile, android), the game will think I'm not doing anything. Example: turn 1 I play a land and nothing happens, then after a while the game timer comes on as if I was sitting idle and not doing anything. I can only get back to it by completely closing the app and reopening it. It's happened a lot and it happens the same way every time. Whenever I log back in it, the text on the loading screen is all wonky and just says "discription" in letters that look more like The One Ring. Then when I get back…

    The amass Zombies mechanic does not properly apply the creature type Zombie to an existing non-Zombie Army token. As per CR 701.47a, the existing token (e.g., an Orc Army creature token created with an amass Orcs effect) should become a Zombie in addition to its other types if it is not already. This is implemented correctly for amass Orcs (Zombie Army tokens gain the Orc creature type if an amass Orcs effect occurs), but is not implemented for amass Zombies.   10. Delighted Halfling mana not being used correctly in combination with Rattleclaw Mystic

    I had a Delighted Halfling and a facedown Rattleclaw Mystic in play. I turned Rattleclaw Mystic face-up (the auto-tap used both of my red sources for some reason which is not the issue I'm reporting but still stupid when I had multiple blue and green sources). I then proceeded to cast Loot, the Pathfinder. I wanted to use Loot's red activation (deal 3 damage), so I tapped my Delighted Halfling to pay for the red mana in Loot's casting cost (so the red from Rattleclaw Mystic would still be available after Loot entered).     Seriously. How many times has it been suggested to allow people to report those who abuse the time out rule? Just spent God knows how many minutes in a game with someone who said 'good game' turn 1 when I Thought seized his win con.     The basic timeline of events in this clip:

    I have Avacyn, Angel of Hope on the field. It is indestructible and has an ability that makes all of my other permanents indestructible

    My opponent plays Curious Colossus, which on entry removes all abilities from my creatures, including Avacyn. All my permanents lose the indestructible marker and styling that Avacyn gave them.

    I play Fall of the Thran which destroys all lands - including mine; they are not indestructible anymore

    I activate the -4 loyalty ability of The Eternal Wanderer which sacs all creatures except Avacyn and an unrelated creature…

  14. Season of the Burrow and other multi-target spells - not reporting which function is targetting which target

    Season of the Burrow has the capacity to exile targets, as well with multiple other cards that contain multiple effects. At the moment, after the spells targets have been chosen, it applies a different target arrow to each target, also provides a tooltip saying which targets are being targetted, but doesn't explain which effect is being applied to which target. This can dramatically change the outcome of the spell after protections such as hexproof is applied.   15. Fix tooltip UI for stolen (Goatnapped) earthbent creatures so it doesnt incorrectly identify which player gain control of creature if dies

    Goatnap + earthbending interaction has incorrect UI tooltip that falsely claims you can gain permanent control of the land if it dies. (the UI will say, "When this creature dies, it will return the battlefield under your_username's control" despite you not controlling the earthbending trigger and therefore you will not get control of it when it dies, it will return to opponent.

    I am suggesting you fix the UI so it correctly specifies who will control the stolen earthbent creature after it dies. The incorrect UI led me to make an incorrect play assuming I would take the land, but…

    MTG Arena currently lacks a permanent space that structurally encourages experimentation and casual deckbuilding. While competitive formats work well, players who enjoy brewing non-meta decks have no reliable place to find like-minded opponents.

    The Problem

    In both Standard and Historic — ranked and unranked — matches often feel extremely narrow. Most games are against the same highly optimized decks. This is not necessarily a balance issue; it’s a structural issue.

    Please examine the interaction of the Tenderize instant and the Frog Butler creature. The Deathtouch ability is applied to the target victim creature - contrary to the text of Tenderize which should only apply damage "equal to its power." The Frog Butler is able to defeat creatures of any Toughness with the Tenderize card.

    When playing Bristlebane Battler it spawns in with 5 -1/-1 counters when it does it triggers Nest of Scarabs “Whenever you put one or more -1/-1 counters on a creature, create that many 1/1 black Insect creature tokens.” causing 5 scarabs to appear on the other hand it triggers Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons “Whenever you put one or more -1/-1 counters on a creature, create a 1/1 green Snake creature token with deathtouch.” only once spawning 1 snake token.
