How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

 

How to submit product suggestions

  1. Select “Product Suggestion” as the Category for your suggestion
  2. Enter your feedback
  3. Add any relevant screenshots/videos

 

Examples of product suggestions: Feedback on visual effects, recommendations for user interface improvements, new feature requests

  2. Systematically stamp out deliberate stalling/roping

    Opponents deliberately stalling/roping before death (as a sore-loser tactic to try get the other player to concede) has become so commonplace, that I doubt I'm the only one being driven away from MTGA.

    Removing the "earned" timeouts would help alleviate this problem, because all they do is provide the players the "ammunition" they need to stall later in the the game.

    I'd also advise shortening the timeout periods, or scaling this depending on the players' ranks (i.e. beginner players get longer turns than matches between veteran players).

    In addition, proving a "report player" button directly within the app would also…

  3. Mtg Arena - problem server connection

    Dear wizards,

    This post is to signal a major server connection problem with the mtg arena app.
    The game and the app are really amazing, but this problem is seriously ruining it all.
    Basically, if you lose internet connection even for just a fraction of a second, the game stall and a message "waiting for the server" appears. But the app never reaches the server again. You can wait for hours looking at this message, but the app will never reconnect. The only way is to shut down the app and starting it again, but this process takes time and,…

  4. loss in premium draft

    I had a phantom loss in this premium draft on 1/3/2024. I just won a game and returned to the results screen with a 3rd loss and the highlighted claim button.

  5. Talion is bugged

    Talion triggers on X spells even though he shouldn’t. My opponent chose 2, and Talion triggered when I cast Old Stickfingers for X=3. This should have had a mana value of 5 on the stack and Talion should not have triggered but it did.

  7. trying to change companion crashes game

    Clicking on the "Companion" button in any context crashes my client. Whether I try to change it from the Profile tab or within the deck builder clicking on it consistently and immediately crashes the app direct to desktop. Client is running on Windows PC.

  8. land drawing

    Hi,

    I so tired with this land drawing system. for now, around 1 on 3 game I usually draw 4 at 6 land on a row. Even with deck that purge land. Please do something to rationalize this behaviour, it is a shame ...

  11. Land issue

    Just about a every new game i have played i have either drawn 2 land or gotten to many, it is becoming a big issue i also see this with streamers. I am no longer having any fun with this game and makes it feel rigged.

  12. Report afk players

    I would like to be able to report players who go afk when they lose. It happens way too often that when it’s very clear I’m going to win, opponents say Good Game and don’t concede but go afk. I have to wait out multiple time fusers, it’s just bm.

  13. Sparky upgrade

    I wish sparky could use other decks. They could be decks I've made or the free standard arena decks that everyone has.

    Also I wish I could minimize arena to read messages for a quick second without sparky dropping the game.

  14. Unable to purchase Gems on MTG Arena

    I am unable to purcahase Gems on my MTG Arena account. Whenever I go to purchase them, the screen goes to 'Waiting for server', then either freezes or eventually after about 7 or 8 minutes goes to 'unable to access Server or something Similar.

    I can play games and Draft fine, but cannot buy Gems with which to play.

    Please advise as to what to do; i have contacted Customer Support and they Directed me here.

  15. Sparky Challenge

    I am a new player and are therefore playing sparky challenge for the first time. I've beaten her a dozen or so times but for some reason I am stuck at 2/3 wins.
    I'm enjoying the game but am getting tired of only being able to do the color & sparky challenges.
    I've Uninstalled and reinstalled already with no luck

  17. Actually do something about the roping problem

    WOTC, PLEASE do something about this problem! For years this has been ongoing and you have done nothing to improve it. This is the #1 most complained about aspect of MTG Arena and you have been absolutely silent on the matter for YEARS. Reduce the turn time; reduce the amount of timeouts people can save up; add an in-game conduct report feature; BAN players who rope; prevent ability to stall by turning on manual control. DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, PLEASE! And don't tell me we can report it via Wizard support, I know we can do that, and it's not enough,…

  18. Algorithm Improvement

    I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.

    But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile…

  19. A permanent opt-out feature for the in-game "did you have fun" survey

    Hello MTGA players and devs,

    The in-game "did you have fun" question shows up a lot more recently, typically once every three to five games. There's a skip button for those of us that don't want to answer, but then a few games later it just asks us again.

    Would it be possible to get a more permanent skipping feature? Some kind of checkmark in the game settings where we can opt out of being asked?

  20. product suggestion

    I've been playing Arena since closed beta, and have finally run out of patience. I want to love this client and product, but it is so unoptimised and unreliable across Windows, Mac, and Android that I give up.

    My product suggestion is to please put more people onto your dev team.
