1. Suggestion to Ban "Mana Drain" in Brawl format

   I am a player of Magic: The Gathering Arena, and I would like to raise a concern regarding the card "Mana Drain" in the Brawl format. I believe this card is currently too powerful, negatively impacting the gameplay experience.
   "Mana Drain" counters a target spell, and during the next phase, it adds {C} to the player's mana pool equal to the spell's converted mana cost. This effect gives the player a significant mana advantage, which can be overwhelming, especially in the more diverse and creative decks typical of Brawl. This often results in an unfair advantage for the player using "Mana Drain," as it not only denies an opponent a key spell but also grants a large mana boost, leading to one-sided and unbalanced matches.
   Given this, I would like to suggest that "Mana Drain" be banned from Brawl mode to improve the balance and fairness of the format. I believe this change would help make the gameplay more enjoyable and fair for all players.

2. Rescue from the Underworld bugged with control effects

   If you use a control effect (dragonlord silumgar) on an opponent's creature, and then cast Rescue from the Underworld sacrificing that creature, Rescue from the Underworld reads that both will return to play under your control.

   It does not. It returns it to play under their control... :(

   Platform - PC
   Repeatability - simply use those two effects, it will repeat
   Log is of a game with this result.

3. waiting for server then the current game just ends

   During the game Waiting for Server is shown.
   Then it blinks a couple of times the screen is black and Waiting for Server is shown.
   Then I am in the Main Menu and the game is lost.

4. Kicked out of game with loss without playing

   The same bug I reported before reoccured: I join a match, I get kicked out, I have a loss, I never player.

5. Waiting for Server pops up mid-game, then I'm booted from the match

   This issue started 10/29/24. I am either building decks or mid-match and the Waiting for Server image pops up, and I get kicked out of what I was doing. I stay in Arena, but I lose every game because I am immediately booted out. I assure you this is not an issue on my end, everything else works. It's an issue with Arena.

6. Random Shuffler

   I was playing Arena today, I play and enjoy the game A LOT. I mean no disrespect by this post I just would like an explanation.

   So I usually just play historic casual matches. But lately (past week or two) Ive been getting into games where the opponent concedes immediately, or they are AFK and the timer forces them to concede. Like 9/10 they would concede before the first card is even played.

   So I decided to try ranked, to see if there was less of that going on.

   (I play life gain mainly. Its a 60 card custom deck with 24 lands and 36 creatures/artifacts/enchantments)

   We start no problems, by mid game we were both at or above 20 life. My opponent plays a “destroy all creatures” sorcery. At this point im thinking “oh well, we both start at 0 again”

   Its my turn now and I draw a 1 mana drop creature. Fine. I play it. Mind you there are only 5 plains under my control. (My highest casting card is 3 mana) I pass turn and my opponent draws a bigger creature (4/4 with a bunch of abilities/triggered abilities) fine. Luck of the draw I guess.

   Its my turn again and I draw a land. I play it.

   Its his turn again and he draws another big creature. Fine. Luck of the draw.

   Except. I drew. And im not exaggerating here. 10 consecutive. Back to back lands.

   I ended up losing because I couldn’t get any creatures out if my 30 total creatures in the deck. And thats fine, cannot win them all, oh well.

   BUT i crunched some numbers and double and triple checked my math. (Even used AI to calculate the same number)

   So in a 60 card deck. Containing 24 lands and 36 “other” cards. The probability of me drawing 10 CONSECUTIVE lands is this

   0.0000022%.

   Gemini (Googles AI) said and I quote “this is an extremely low probability and can almost be categorized as impossible.”

   Ive run into this issue multiple times. As have many of you in sure. I know my friends have.

   You build a deck. with an outstanding land to creature ratio. And you either end up drawing too much land. Or too many creatures.

   And the funny thing is, it usually happens after about 5-6 back to back wins. Its like the more you win, the higher likelihood of your deck being stacked against you.

   I did some digging and tried to see if WOTC had made an announcement regarding their random shuffler and how it determines what you draw. And as you could imagine, theres nothing. I understand why, I was just hoping for at least a “yes, our card shuffler is 100% randomized by a RNG.” Or something along those lines from WOTC. But theres nothing. It almost feels like its one of those “ plausible deniability” situations. Like oh, we never said it was random so no harm done.

   But its people like me, and possibly people like you who are getting screwed by this. Ive been playing Magic a long time. Tabletop and digital. I know how to optimize decks. In table top. I have a life gain deck (similar to my digital deck) that is almost a 90% win chance. Because I have 4 of each creature/enchantment/artifacts that gain life constantly and consistently. I never have this issue.

   I winder if they have a line of code somewhere that stacks the deck against people on a win streak. To keep the other people who may have been losing a bunch, happy.

   Which is a very bad way of going about it IMO. People need to learn from why they are losing instead of just giving up. So encourage that! Stop being so stingy with wildcards? Would that help? Let people not have to grind so dang much for a single rare wildcard? To get a card that will improve their experience 10 fold.

   This “random shuffler” doesn't seem to be random. Im going to take more data and use a very. Very. Large sample size. Its going to take some time but im willing to put in the work.

   Just to be absolutely 100% clear here.

   I will be taking notes and taking data in new notebooks and will IN NO WAY use any scripts or code on my computer. Ive read the terms of services and I know thats a big ol no no. So Ill do it on paper and save the data. Im actually looking forward to this because I like investigating things of this nature. More to come.

8. Red Aggro Decks

   PLEASE do something against these red aggro decks. It's getting worse and worse. It's really not funny losing every second game in turn two. Theres is absolutely nothing you can do against those decks if you are not the player chosen to take the first turn. Ban those stupid cards from the game. I really start thinking about quitting to play the game.

9. sideboard

   Disconnecting and Reconnecting during a Bo3 match prevents you from moving cards in and out of sideboard. Can pretty much replicate this by quitting and reconnecting.

11. Fullscreen mode does not remember previous resolution

    Fullscreen does not remember previous resolution.

    In past versions, exiting full screen mode would return the PC client to its previously chosen resolution . For example, I play on a 4k monitor, but in windowed mode, I play in 1440p. Last year, when I would exit full screen with the keyboard shortcut, the screen would return to its former size, but at some point, it just started becoming a window with the screen's full resolution. I play on three Windows devices, running both 10 and 11, and the behavior is the same. This makes playing the game in full screen far more of a pain, and I avoid something I used to do constantly, lessening my enjoyment of Arena.

12. Heist

    PLEASE get rid of the heist mechanic. It causes chaos, and not in a fun way. Even if I win, I’m not having fun. I just immediately quit now when I get paired with someone who is playing heist. I don’t even care about my record.

13. You shuffle algorithm SSSSSUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!

    I have this exact same deck in real life and NEVER have I ever been so consistently mana screwed in my entire life. Not to mention I have 2-8 mana cards and 2-7 mana cards in my entire deck, and the amount of time I get all four of those four cards in my opening hand is statistically IMPOSSIBLE! Oh and even if I do a mulligan I get at least on of those same 4 cards right off the bat. This would NEVER happen with a real shuffle.

    27 lands and I consistently get 2 in my opening hand and don't see another land for 5 draws. But I'll get all 4 of the cards I only have 4 of.
    You need to fix this issue because it's getting ridiculous.

14. FIX YOUR ALGORITHM

    I would love to take part to the ocean of complains regarding your shuffling algorithm. The frustration is over the roof. Been playing MTG Arena for years and spent thousands of dollars in gems, I'm not a hater.

    But the products on the platform aren't cheap so i expect to have at least some fun after a purchase. The past week, after the new rotation, I've spent almost 100 dollars in drafts and here's my conclusion: A WASTE OF MONEY.
    I'm definetly an above average player, reached Mythic rank in draft more than once, but no skill can save you when you draw your SIXTH LAND in a raw... And one episode can be considered bad luck, it's part of the game, but when it happens again and again... well, you get the thousands of deserved complaints.
    Imagine spending a 100$ just to see your resources eaten by the algorithm..............................................................................................

15. Arena skipping my priority.

    Opponent cast Leyline Binding targeting my Soul-Guide Lantern. After Leyline enters ability triggered and targeted my Lantern priority should have passed to me to activate its abilities as it was untapped. Arena instead passed priority.

16. Heist

    Heist should be banned or modified for several reasons:

    -Heisted cards do not count against hand total.
    -cannot see what was heisted
    -overpowered cards:

    Grave Expectations - 1 mana to steal a hidden card at no discard cost

    Triumphant Getaway - 4 mana to steal 2 hidden cards, then use any color to cast them and -2 to opponents if used

    Grenzo - completely broken card with ability to cast 1 heisted card for free each turn, and heists upon entering battlefield AND each upkeep.

    Other heist cards like Thieving Aven, Impetuous Lootmonger and Weave the Nightmare are more fair, with the exception that WtN should cost 1 extra to do both actions.

    Grenzo and Triumphant Getaway should be banned altogether. Grave Expectations should either cost more mana or require a discard. Any heisted cards should count against hand total. And they should be visible. This would make it fun again.

    This is by far the most frustrating, broken, overpowered mechanic in the Alchemy format and needs to be modified substantially.

    Heist should be banned or modified for several reasons:

17. Indestructible bug

    Hello, I'm using indestructible creature. In every tournament I've been in a -x -x doesn't kill an indestructible. I've seen it happen in this game multiple times, and even contacted a couple judges to ask. They've all said it shouldn't die, and I was wondering if it's different on here or an error.

18. Tinybones the pickpocket not working

    This is a bug with how Tinybones the pickpocket works (well doesn't work). I was dealing ALL SORTS of combat damage to a player and Tinybones, the pickpocket's ability wasn't triggering. I was supposed to be able to cast stuff from their graveyard. I had mana available and all they had was non-creature spells in the grave.

19. Insidious Roots is Bugged on MTGA

    Insidious roots is completely broken - it's supposed to put creatures into play with summoning sickness, like any other spell, but for some reason on MTGA the plants it creates do NOT have summoning sickness, which makes it possible to exploit the triggers from cards like Ichor Drinker, Placid Rotttentail, etc. Needs to make the plant tokens have summoning sickness unless there is an effect giving them haste.

20. My Light Card "Petrify" doesn't do what the card says it does.

    My light card Petrify doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do in game.

    The card text clearly states

    "Enchant Artifact or creature
    Enchanted Permanent can't attack or block ,
    and it's activated abilities can't be activated"

    When I use this card on other permanents listed the card continues to do it's activated abilities and even does it's abilities even if they weren't activated yet.

    Why doesn't this card work like it says?
