Your hand smoothing algorithm is probably one of the worst things to be done to MTG. As it is it from first hand experience it is hurting your business as I know many long time players that have walked away from MTG because of it. I do understand you put it in to draw in new players but when you have players that have spent hundreds of thousands f dollars over the years leaving because of it , it really isn't helping. As a suggestion don't force the veteran players to use it if it is supposed to be a buff then giving us the option to turn it off shouldn't be a problem and the coding to put in an option is extremely easy with the old shuffler algorithm you wouldn't even have to write any coding for it. I think this is probably the only compromise that will make hand smoothing actually function as it was intended to, to draw in new players without alienating the old ones and probably the best option for the health of your business.
When all my creatures are dead, each draw is a land. I will draw like 5-6 lands in a row until i die... This happens all too often.
Isn't it soooo much fun when you "play" for three hours, but don't actually play a single game, because you haven't seen a single opening hand with both at least two mana and at least two spells, despite having 24 lands, so all you've done for three hours is click play -> concede -> play -> concede -> play -> concede about 125 times in a row?
hello I am writing because I am tired of losing draft games because of their mixer that I do not know I have to reach the 3 won game and it does not make me steal more land, I do mulligans and I do not steal land, I lost the game without playing, I spend a lot of times and with 17 lands on the deck, fix that mixer because the truth is that it is very bad, thanks
So I just paid 5000 gold to do a draft and didn't get to play one match..
started first match hand 2 land in my opening hand, used the mulligan and got 1 land. played a few turns got no land. had to bow out.. EXACT SAME THING THE NEXT @ MATCHES!!! WTF.. pay for a draft tournament and never actually get to play ..not cool. I know how to build decks have been playing since beta... fix this horrible shuffle mechanic you use...
I have been playing MTG since beta and am well versed in deck building and I am baffled at how terrible your shuffle in this game is.. i lose more games from being mana ****** than i can stand.. i even added more mana just to adjust to your ****** shuffles and hopefully fix it..still 0-1 land on opening hands only to mulligan and get the same or none... wtf
In my last 4 draft my score is 3/12 due to ***** or flood. i'm starting with usually 3 lands in hand, like the bo1 script so don't need to mulligan, stayed blocked with those 3 lands for at least 6+ turns. Other games, i lost after 13 turns drawing 13 on 17 lands against 7 spells. Theese things can't happen so frequently in real life then there's something to fix because the statistics match the reality.
fix your land radomizer i played 30 games had to quit 25 times due to land issues i made a deck 75% land and still have this problem
Guys if you dont wanna i play you game send mi email and give money back because you script in game win lose is stupid any day i start game I lost 3 game in rows because emy player start in perfect cards in hend i must play in my most bad hend even if i do mulligan don't help you scrypt win lose help enemy and most my game enemy start do is fuc..k unfair.
so how am i supposed to justify putting in close to near real world prices for drafts and constructed events when your shuffler gives me no lands in 7 draws, consistently, when I run over 24 lands including shocks and gates? Another good example is how i can consistantly draw 4 bolas in my first 15 cards or how i can go through 40 cards of my deck and not hit a single copy of bolas. FIX YOUR GAME.
No matter WHAT kind of variety of cards I have in a deck I ALWAYS draw the same cards, and the same patterns of cards. You claim to have a truly randomized draw generation, but I know that is not the case. You guys are getting very close to losing a good number of players if you don't get your $hit together, and fix it, because everyone I know personally that play this either have dumped playing, or are soon to dump playing. $$$ spending on here has officially stopped as a result. Your move, fix it or lose money.

Chose Mono Colored deck for simple comparison.
20/60 white lands over three games in Constructed event.
8 lands in first 15 cards
7 lands in first 15 cards
8 lands in first 16 cards
Changed land to 19/60
2 lands in 7 turns
2 lands in 6 turns
This is only the ones I remembered when I realized there was a problem with the land RNG.
I have screenshots galore but the "Attach a File" would not allow me to attach a file. lmao.
This poor excuse for programming is not Magic the Gathering.
I have noticed that the shuffler clusters duplicates of cards together far more often than would be expected or happen in irl games. As one example, I started with one treasure map and turn three not only had I pulled a second treasure map but then when scrying with the first one I noticed the next card in my deck was my THIRD treasure map. There is also a weird phenomenon of when I add a new card to my deck that be it anywhere from 1 to 4 copies I always start the next game with at least 1 of the new card(s) in hand. That may be coincidental, but I have seen the clustering, including through scrying, enough times to know that that is a definite issue with the shuffler.

What happened in my last match is unprecedented. 14 lands in the top less than 20 cards, while opponent stopped at 5... :'( I kept scrying them to the bottom and kept getting them.
When am I going to draw the good pocket of the deck??
This game is literally broken at the moment. Duplicates showing up consistently like 3 to 4 copies throughout multiple games in starting hands. Not drawing one land for 6 turns straight etc... Seeing opponents top deck game changing duplicates consistently after running out of cards in hand. Like some others have said it makes the game not enjoyable and infuriating.
The algorithm for shuffling is very irritating and really makes me not even want to play.... Please do something to fix this its getting ridculous.
7 games in a row had exactly the same hand and 1 land. 7-10 turns in still no lands. The built deck is 70 cards and 22 lands. Stistically to have that happen every time is about the same as hitting the lottery. Please fix the randomization of the start cards and play cards. My opponents appeared to be having the same issue with no lands.
This is no joke anymore, the broken as **** shuffling algorithm is destroying all the fun with MTGA. I've just sank 20 bucks into limited events for exactly nothing at all! Ive allways got manascrewed in every match! and not even in random ways. once ive got 3 red lands and only green spells, once I had to mulligan 3 times cuz there was only one land, I had to keep 5 with one land scryed a nonland to the bottom and didn't draw another land in 4 turns or I only drew land when I kept a 4-5 land hand. rinse and repeat for a streak of about 6 matches!! I play paper magic for quite a long time now and also MTGO and I never had those kind of consistent Manascrews or floods in my life! If an employee of Wizards reads this, I expect you to reimburse me my 3400 gems I last bought a few days ago, or you most likely will loose a good paying customer. And fix your **** Shuffler or you will risk loosing thousands of Players! It almost seems like you dont want people to win to much so you can make more money off them.
There is something really messed up with the randomization of lands. I actually had a pretty good deck but in the end I lost all 3 games due to drawing out like double the amount of lands than spells. Drafting in this is torture. Please add a coin option to sealed.
Well...up until a few hours ago, taking a mulligan would fix the "mana dispenser", and give you a good curve (from the second shuffle actually working right?). That seems to have stopped though, I have seen it twice again in my last couple of games.

multiple users i know (70+) complaining that hands give a ratio of 6:1 lands and upon mulligan 0:6 lands
Sometimes sit drawing up to 12 lands per game in a row.
