Shuffler algoritm
Please do away with shuffler algorithms; just randomize it. I feel I need to build a deck to suit the algorithms which I don't want to.' The algo is completely obvious and often ridiculous. I think it would be great for MTG to just randomize it, because the shuffler seems to work best with copy paste unoriginal decks. So fix it. Now. Random is cheaper to for you guys. Fire some people, whatever.

So my guess. The use machine learning to figure out your deck, which is why creating new decks changes your outcome. They use this data as input in the not random matchmaking, and the not even a little bit random card selector. Use these things work as intended and yes the rules are the same for all players. Every player is being manipulated. Once you understand that the game can decide if you win or lose each match with better than 90% certainty it is easy to see what they are doing. They want you to lose enough to temp you to buy more cards, but win enough to keep playing. If you play in ranked, they also want to slow your progression. So bronze and silver you move up pretty fast. Get to platinum and you will spend days not making progress until you are allowed into diamond. Same for going from diamond to mythic. There is nothing in this game that is not rigged manipulation. WOTC, publish all of your code for inspection and submit to having your games audited by an independent third party or I will never believe this game is even a little bit fair.

Ridiculous! I just removed the game and wil switch to Runeterra. It's a much better game and even IS FUN.
It's just o obvious, that something is wrong here. If I play ranked, 4 out of 5 draws I only get two lands and nothing fitting to play. The last three days I lost 9 out of 10 games against almost the same decks every fucking game. I always get the perfect fit for my deck to get countered. It's so fucking obvious!
I just threw my phone against the wall because I got so mad. The greed of this fucking company makes me so furious.
One additional thing: Why do fucking brainless aggro decks always get what they need!? Because they are easy to play for newbies and they bring money to the pool... nomnomnom Greedy f***s.Also the games is so badly programmed... there is so many errors and open code all over the game. Maybe fix your shit before trying to sell it to the people.

I've played this game since Beta on a nightly basis. Played a lot of sealed deck tournaments up to the release of Mercadian Masques. I can count on both hands the amount of times I have gotten "mana screwed" by playing physical cards.
Yet, i find with Arena that 3-4 out of 5 games, with 21-23 land in a deck, i am getting land screwed. I just got done playing 5 games. 4 of those 5 games, with the same deck, 2-3 land in opening hand. dead by turn 6 because of no land draws.
Like everyone else, I use the dual lands along with single color, but it doesn't make a difference.
I am finding way to often, that i am going 10-12 draws with only 2-3 land or no land at all. I have gone from Platinum 2 to Platinum 4 because I can't get the proper mixture of cards.
I don't mind losing a game because i made mistakes in the order i played things. It's like chess. But when your programmed RNG/Shuffle prevents you from even playing, it takes the fun out of the game.

Guys, no one will listen to our cries of transparency in their Riggedness I mean Random Shuffler... This game only cares about PROFIT!! No wonder many are moving away from MTG Arena to either Legends of Runeterra (the Economy is really good as well as it is a game of skills rather than luck) as well as Genshin Impact... this company never cares about its players... =)
This is why I am having second thoughts on spending money especially Kaldheim is just around the corner

COMPLETELY LOAD OF ****!!
I have a 98-card deck. Within this deck I have 36 mana (land) cards. That equals to 36.75% of the total deck. Obviously, simple math says that 4 out of every 10 cards would be a land card. However, based on "random" shuffling of the deck, this could statistically be higher or lower, based on the quality of the shuffle itself.
Instead, I continue to have games where I am dealt nothing but mana (land) cards or am never dealt a land card, which is a statistical anomaly if it occurs once or twice. However, MTG Arena has created an algorithm that has this occurring in approximately 3 to 4 games out of 10, about 30% to 40% of the time.
My last game was the straw that broke the camels back for me, because I never fill out these complaint / feedback things. The attached picture shows how the game ended, with me hovering over the deck to prove the card count. On the board I have 12 mana (land) cards, 5 cards in my grave yard, 3 spell cards (that are mine) under my opponents cards, and 78 cards remaining in my "shuffled" deck. That is a running card count that I was dealt of 20 cards.
Someone explain to me how (statistically) it is possible to have 12 mana (land) cards out of a total of 36 in my deck (which is 33.33% of my total mana cards) out of a total of 20 cards dealt (20.4% of my total deck)? Think of it this way... simple math should place 8 mana cards in my hand when 20 cards are dealt, based on my total deck stats provided above. This means I was dealt 50% more mana (land) cards that statistically should have been dealt.
MTG recommends 23 to 26 mana (land) cards out of a 60-card deck, that is 38% to 43% of your total deck. If you create the same deck at-home, shuffle and deal out 20-cards to yourself 10-times, you might get 12 mana (land) cards once. For MTG Arena to claim they have tested their system and everything works fine is an utter lie.
The real reason why MTG Arena won't fix the card shuffle issue, because players would move up the mastery tree a lot faster, meaning they wouldn't be able to sell you more products. Basically, they have rigged the online game so they can sell you more ****, instead of fixing the issue and then adjusting their other game play items (like mastery tree) because they corrected the issue. It is just frustrating, sad, and stupid!

Your shuffler is beyond broken. I can never have a decent opening hand in ranked, but the second I play out of ranked or direct challenge, I draw nothing but god hands. There is no actual randomization to the draws, even after multiple shuffles. I shuffle the deck an average of 6 times a game, yet I always hit huge pockets of lands, eventually leaving me with no playable actions, in spite of significantly dropping my land count. Additionally, your matchmaking is busted. There is absolutely no reason why someone in tier 3 or 4 of a ranking bracket should be facing off against a tier 1, short of having literally no other possible opponents.
-
Dameon Geppetto#78715 commented
Stop with the manipulation of the shuffler mechanism. More than half of my losses are 100% because of the broken code which refuses to draw any land or only draw all lands. This is not statistically possible day, upon day, upon day, upon day, upon week, upon week, upon month, etc.
Your user base is teetering on an edge and you are too greedy to see that you are ruining the name of what was a great game.

Dameon Geppetto#78715 commented
I love that I can play two games in a row against different opponents and they both get 3 copies of a vital low mana card that makes their deck win. Three 'Thieves Guild Enforcer' out of the first 10 cards causing me to lose to the cancerous "Dmir Rouges" deck and then three 'Luminarch Assistant' against a mono white lifegain deck in the first 12 cards. Less than 1% probability of that happening once, let alone back to back in matches. This game is fixed and they know it. WotC is hoping to take the mantle of most hated game company from EA and Blizzard.
This is intentional. Stop spending money on any Hasbro product, make your anger known on social media, and document everything you see because their criminality needs to be exposed.

The shuffler is broken. I shouldn't be consistently drawing half of my total lands in the first 20 cards every other game.
This has been happening since I started playing this game.
Yes, this is in BO1 Play mode. Yes, the shuffler is broken!

Cristopher#94264 commented
We are the same.
Since I got to Diamond 1, the game does not allow me to continue advancing, only hands come out of lands or none, forcing me to do repeated mulligans, in many of the cueales, it gives me exactly the same cards again. What's more, this is repeated throughout the game, I have stolen 4 lands in one turn or in other games I have not stolen any land in 8 turns.
-
Killer Frost#44572 commented
In my opinion Mulligan needs rework and the game needs a mechanism about lands. I will post an idea of mine.
1)Change to Mulligan to shuffle whatever cards you want from your hand to your deck (ONLY one time )and draw the same number of cards.
2)A helpful mechanism is needed for to hit lands a lot better so my idea is this.
Each of YOUR turn you can look the top 7 cards from your deck and search for land card and return the other cards you looked to the bottom of your library. Then if you added a land this way return a card from your hand to the bottom of your deck. What do you guys think?
